At least now I know how it's SUPPOSED ta look! I'll Hot Rod mine out a lil more, but try to keep it stock lookin on the outside. Yours is the BIG MOOK though, an it came out GREAT!!!!! I LIKESES it ALOT!!! Edited July 5, 2009 by george 53
noname Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 WOW! You sure did some job on that. Like the trim rims and hubcaps. That should be a real nice addition to your collection. Start it up and lets have a listen to it!
Harry P. Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Too cool! I love it. The red wheels really set it off, nice job.
Lyle Willits Posted July 5, 2009 Author Posted July 5, 2009 Too cool! I love it. The red wheels really set it off, nice job. Thanks. The wheels DO look red in the photos, but they're actually Chevy engine orange.
Bernard Kron Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 (edited) Lovely, just lovely... ... The wheels DO look red in the photos, but they're actually Chevy engine orange. Using either your camera (usually too late after you take a picture) or a digital photo editing suite (like Photoshop) you can fool around with the color balance... Edited July 5, 2009 by gbk1
cruz Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Very cool Lyle, did you do a lot of cleanup on the resin? How thick was the body??
Foxer Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 That IS gorgeous, Lyle! I really love the paint scheme ... is the body color off like you mentioned the wheels are in the photos?
Lyle Willits Posted July 6, 2009 Author Posted July 6, 2009 I can't see all of your monitors, but the colors on mine are correct. The car is Duplicolor yellow-biege and the wheels are red-orange which is a Chevy engine color. Thanks for the nice comments.
cotto Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 I really love the colors you chose for this build, everything flows neatly.
vizio93 Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 wow that looks really good. can't wait to see the next one
Fletch Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 I can't see all of your monitors, but the colors on mine are correct. Lyle, makes a very valid point about the differences between monitors. It's one of the things those of us who work in the digital printing industry deal with on a daily basis. The differences between what is seen on the monitor vs what a digital printer/copier is capable of producing. Enough with the digital printing lesson. Lyle, I have to echo Georges words I don't know if the body sitting on the shelf will ever look this good but at least I know what it's potential. Excellent build, love the hinged hood. It all goes together to produce a very nice addition to the finished shelf.
W-409 Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 (edited) I like this one too. Great detailing on the engine, and I like the stance. Very nice paintjob too. Cool subject, I'd like to build one too. How about the quality on these Flintstone Bodies, I have one, and it looks OK to me, but were there any problems during the build? rmvw guy Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Very nice! Yeah for resin! Like the way it came out. Beautiful!

Danno Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Wow. How'd I miss this back when? Great build, Lyle! (Sorry I'm late to the game.)
traditional Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 That '36 rod is both beautifully conceived, and beautifully executed.........I love everything about it. Great modelling!
