Kushikimi Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Hi everyone! That's my next complite project - Hasegawa's 1972 Toyota Celica 1600GT Nippon Grand Prix.
whale392 Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Very nicely built! I have a soft spot for these and the Hakosukas.
jedimastergary Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Nice one cool classic race car and not many imports on here that I have seen
Bainford Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Very nice work, and a very interesting kit. It looks good photographed on the race track.
RodneyBad Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 Very nice work, and a very interesting kit. It looks good photographed on the race track. Ditto.. Looks Great. Excellent work.
Kushikimi Posted April 19, 2010 Author Posted April 19, 2010 Many thanks for your comments! This kit was quite problematic, so I'm glad I could finish this project
Raul_Perez Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Very nice work!! I always liked that body style. Is there an engine, or is this a curbside kit? Can you get a close-up picture of the interior? Thanks for sharing,
sjordan2 Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 (edited) Superb craftsmanship, especially the very precise chrome trim and paint masking work. Is it Alclad? How did you create the very fine wash or rubber sealer around the window chrome? – It's among the very best I've seen, and something that many modelers overlook. Edited April 19, 2010 by sjordan2
Kushikimi Posted April 20, 2010 Author Posted April 20, 2010 Raul_Perez, this is curbside kit))) Here is some pics of the interior and underbody: sjordan2, the window chrome is Model Master (or Testors) Chrome silver (it's under clear coat, so its look like alluminium).
Raul_Perez Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Raul_Perez, this is curbside kit))) Here is some pics of the interior and underbody... Very nice work!! Thanks for sharing,

Nick F40 Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 I love old GT cars and this is one of my favorites. Love the backdrop
dimaxion Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 Nice build . It looks to be a 'privateer' rather than a Big Bucks Team . Do you have the kit number of this ? I am trying to locate one . I think Tamayia did one also . I need the kit numbers for both kits to make my search sucessful . Hobby Shops no longer have people in them that understand the various kits . Please keep them coming , nice work . Thanx ..
62rebel Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 i picked up that kit on clearance from Hobby Town along with some others a couple years back; it can be built as a stocker also, which was my version, in British Racing Green Metallic. if my pic file were working i'd post it.. your build is outstanding. i WISH more kits were like this one.
