eviltwincustoms Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 I had to take a second look. Just a quick glance it looked like a real block sitting their waiting to go into a build. If you had that block mounted to a block stand it could easily pass as being a 1:1.
crowe-t Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 This is insane! It really looks dead on to a 1:1.
tyrone Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Top Notch seems like an understatement... you have taken the game to a new level... Sir....
Prostreet Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Looks sick Dave, lines turned out great. Almost chassis time?
tyrone Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 BIG BABY JESUS !!!! .... now that's the business right there.. I wish I had one of them for my 1:1 car... oh wait this is a model... lol.... Killin it Dave...
Magic Photos Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Dave stop jerking our chain that is a real engine. The work you do is detailed and right on love watching your builds. Thanks for sharing I learn so much from you and all the great builders on here, hope I can get back to building my own stuff soon. Mike Garland

baddgass Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Dave... I am speechless bud. I have no other words than you are a Master at this. Those carbs and manifold set up looks killer. Casey Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Just a quick glance it looked like a real block sitting their waiting to go into a build. That's what I was thinking, too. Beautiful work going on here.

futurattraction Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 ...Or maybe not so patiently! LOL I don't think there are words to express how amazing all aspects of your engine look. It is truly an inspiring build...
Jdurg Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 This is absolutely incredible. WOW! Keep up the good work Dave. Can't wait to see this completed. Gives me major inspiration for keeping up a high level of detail and quality work on my '67 Vette.
comp1839 Posted September 11, 2012 Author Posted September 11, 2012 thank you so much guys!!!!!! i appreciate it. if any of my work inspires or causes you to go the extra step or put in that extra detail......well it just isn't any more satisfying than that!! sorry for the lack of updates. i've been busy lately trying to take care of some other things. i'll get back just as soon as i take care business. thanks again.
eviltwincustoms Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Hope everything is okay with you and your family. Now if it is to work on your new 1:1 project you posted... I think that would be where I would pour my time into something you and your wife could enjoy.
comp1839 Posted September 11, 2012 Author Posted September 11, 2012 thanks for asking bart. everything is fine here. i'm trying to get all my ducks in a row for the new 1:1 project. lot's to get handled in a short amount of time. it'll be some good times i'm sure.
eviltwincustoms Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Sweet that is good to hear. I would really like to hear more about your 1:1 project. So the original owner wouldn't go for throwing in the 900+ cubic inch Pat Musi motor with the deal huh? I will have to keep an eye out for possible updates on your major project.
comp1839 Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 (edited) bart, here's the deal. rich shainline put his '37 chevy pro mod up for sale. the guys at precision worked their butts off to come up with a win - win deal for rich and myself. i can't begin to thank rich, jim and doug for the effort they went through to make this deal happen. anyway, i'm going to be purchasing the car. i'm just finishing up all the loose ends on my deal to get the money together to buy it. the bank now officially is in the soul acquisition business. as far as the 903 pat musi motor. i only wish i could afford it! hehe. the thing makes incredible power. the car is going to be transformed into a (excuse me as i clear my throat, ahem) street car. it will live out the rest of it's life without the brutality of 3000h.p. spanking it. here are some shots of the car: i will be removing the aero nose and replacing it with a more stock looking unit. Old Sprinter Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 WOW, WOW, WOW. I have never seen anything like that in my life. What a great car, Dave. I need that !!!!
eviltwincustoms Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Thanks Dave for the insight. That is an amazing car. It will be cool to see it transform into something more streetable.
stump Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Ok....it's all falling into perspective now..................... That "scale motor" you've been posting, is REALLY out of the 37, ain't it??? No, seriously....you have no idea how much I have missed this stuff from you Dave. I am so pleased to finally get back and see some truly amazing work being handed to us by one of the best guys out there. Thanks mate. GREAT work securing your new "street car" too......that will be wild, and another amazing build to watch evolve.
