Dr. Cranky
He is good, what level of model car could this guy build Doc? Who knows, Al. Sometimes you'd be surprised. I just love the fact that there are so many builders out there that are addicted to recreating the world in small scale.
Ace-Garageguy
Pure magic, and thanks for directing us to it. There was a train modeler in Canada somewhere when I was a kid who was also an artist. He did the most incredible scenery and backdrops, but the astounding thing was his ability with lighting. He could make a scene look cold or warm by changing his sky-lighting, and it was truly beautiful. I've tried and tried to find a copy of the old Model Railroader (I think) that he was in, but I remember his work vividly to this day. 2002p51
I think he knows part of the whole trick is to build these things for the photographs. I think he's addicted to photography as well. That's exactly right. The knowledge of photography and the managing of light is every bit as important to the success of those photos as is the modeling, if not more.
