Chief Joseph
Hi All, Here's a project I was working on for myself and thought I'd make them available to everyone. White Letter Tire decals. Initial batch of designs is 25 different brands/styles: Sample 1/24 decals applied to Monogram tires: I'm making them available as individual sets with enough decals to do 5 tires. PM or email for pricing info. If you don't see the particular lettering you want, drop me a line and I can probably make it. Thanks for looking! Jeremy Jon
You know what would cool Joseph, is if there were a raised lettering decal, which could be applied and painted over on tires, so to make correct sidewall markings, on otherwise bald sidewall tires That's beyond a typical waterslide decal of course, but might be possible in some other way PS messaged you on FB Edited July 25, 2013 by Jeremy Jon

Gluhead
I'd rarely do something with white letters, but those are way cool, Joseph!

I do recall there is someone making resin decals of weld beads, perhaps a similar process could be used the RBL for tires?
Modelbuilder Mark
i would be interested in 1/25 versions :-)
Chief Joseph
I've added an additional 25 designs to the original 25 for a total of 50 tire lettering designs! Many factory stock and popular aftermarket tires from the 70's and 80's. Ordering information is up on my website at http://www.fireballmodels.info/wl.htm Full-size Charts showing the different designs are here: http://fireballmodel..._List_Part1.jpg http://fireballmodels.info/images/White_Letter_List_Part2.jpg Thanks for looking! crazyjim
These are regular decals and they stick to kit tires? How about aftermarket tires - like yours?
Chief Joseph
These are regular decals and they stick to kit tires? How about aftermarket tires - like yours? They go on kit tires just fine. The tires I make in resin and rubber already have correct sidewall lettering on them, but the lettering on the hard white resin tires is easily sanded off if you like. gtx6970
If I may make a suggestion. You don't have the Goodyear polyglas with the small solid white letter in a either the E70-14 or E60-15 to very popular tires sizes for the OE crowd
Monty
I'm thrilled to have so many different tire mfrs to choose from, and I like how Mr Osborn included some of the lesser known brands among the big names. Not everybody ran Goodyears... but if you did, his selection of their performance tires extends from those offered from the mid '60s through the mid '80s, so replicating a 1:1 car you built during those years will be easier. Best of all, these decals are available in either 1/24 or 1/25 scale. Also, those of you looking for a smaller MickeyThompson front tire to go with the AMT '70 Camaro's rear steamrollers can now create your own rather inexpensively. Way to go, Chief Joseph! dimaxion
IMHO . RWL decals depth would be out of scale as are the MPC/AMT tires we tolorated for decades now . Thanx ..
Monty
IMHO . RWL decals depth would be out of scale as are the MPC/AMT tires we tolorated for decades now . Thanx .. I'm not sure that makes a whole lot of sense. 1:1 RWLs don't project out much past the sidewall of a tire, so how would a decal be out of scale on a 1/25 tire? Got a better solution?
