Pat Minarick Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 (edited) I stole this ideal from the new RatRod Magazine .I wanted the same look but don't want to copy it .So i'm going with a '56 And a bigger engine Edited May 15, 2014 by Road Runner 79
kennb Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 That 57 was a one of the ones I was looking at too...then settled on the 29 from issue 19.........................lots of inspiration in that mag,,,,good start
Ace-Garageguy Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 I like the concept, proportions and stance. Unusual reverse-slope on the roof chop, but it works well on this.
Chuck Most Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 I'll be keeping an eye on this one, I have something similar in progress with the barfy old Monogram '57.

falcon65 Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Can't wait to see it finished!! If it's the same 57 y'all are talking about he was at my work last summer for the rat rod tour it was a cool car.looked like it should be on a dirt track. Lol
Pat Minarick Posted January 10, 2014 Author Posted January 10, 2014 Glad you guys like it ! I just hope I can get the body back in one piece . In the pictures it's only tape holding it together I'm using a soldering iron to tack it back together ,then I will glue it and brace it. Can't wait to see it finished!! If it's the same 57 y'all are talking about he was at my work last summer for the rat rod tour it was a cool car.looked like it should be on a dirt track. Lol That's the one

Pat Minarick Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 I got the body mostly back together ,not sure how but I got it ! Add part off the roll bar to the a-pillars to add some strength to the body. Found some rims and tires ,and maybe seats to use.
Dragfreak Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 this is going to be so cool! I love the wheel/tire combo, could you post a picture of what youre kinda basing it off of?
