  1. Not at home to get a picture, but I cut the Chargers inner fender, cowl , a pillars and part of the roof all out in one piece. Then trimmed the Road Runner body for it all to fit . The interior and chassis pan fit real good . The front suspension of the Charger is not correct but it will work . The 73-4 had a separate torsion bar mount , mounted on rubber biscuits behind the tranny mount. And the K frame is mounted on big rubber mounts. But it is still a hundred times better than the old chassis.
  2. Thanks ,I've had it awhile. This is good excuse to build it.
  3. This will be what I'm working on. Not using the goofy roof , stacks ,or bumpers.
  4. He just texted me earlier today that its ready.
  5. Thanks , Jimmy Flintstone has it now . Probably won't get it back till May .
  6. Yes the car wasn't perfect and shinny and mine will probably be to shinny too? I'm building this one for a friend,so I want it to be nice. I picked up a second kit a few days ago and that one will be built as it is now.
  7. Yes that cowl needs a little work . I remove all the screw mounting points and sanded the tops of the inner fenders to get it fitting better.
  8. Congratulations Ashley great build. Look forward to getting started on next year's entry, I've never built a van .
  9. Got a little painting done..
  10. Harbor Freight has drill bits for cleaning out welding tips, they come in a tube and have a good selection of sizes. They are pretty strong
  11. Thank you.
  12. Thank you.
  13. Thank you.
  14. Thank you for the suggestion , I think I'll try the epoxy first. That might not be worth getting for one body ,but will keep it in mind . I wouldn't even mess with this one , but I owned a 85 Grand Fury for about fifteen years and really want to build a couple of these.
  15. Thank , that's what I heard of using, but wasn't sure if it would work good for what I need to do.
  16. That's the body putty I usually use. Thanks for the tip on the epoxy, I have micro balloons so I will try. Still have a lot of unnecessary stuff to grind out on the inside before I really start working on the body.
  17. Very nice. You did a real good job making this kit look good.
  18. What is the best thing to use to add to the a die-cast body. I need to extend the bottom of some fenders and rocker panels. I've never messed with metal bodies except for repainting some Hot Wheels. Was thinking of having cast in resin first , then making changes to the body .This is what I'm working on. Really wanting to fix the problems I see with the body and build a chassis and interior and have it casted.
  19. You can cut out wheel openings for clearance, and doesn't say anything about removing body panels ?
