  4. Looks outstanding! Really stellar work.
  5. Received mine yesterday 11/21.
  6. That is a cool idea!!
  7. Hold the decal and apply it as Snake45 suggests. The only thing I will add is to keep two paint brushes handy that are not used to paint. One is a brush with a lot of bristles and the second has few bristles. Be prepared for the leading edge or corner to tuck under the decal. If this happens, use your brush with a lot of bristles and put it in the bowl of water. Flood the offending decal with water and use the small bristle brush to get under the decal and smooth out the folded area. Use a paper towel to soak up the excess water when you are through.
  8. I do not give up on a project. Usually, it will go back on the shelf because my skills are not where they need to be to complete the project or I get frustrated. I do not kitbash. It bothers me to spend money on a kit to use a few parts and then the rest goes into a parts bin. That is just my opinion. But below is an example of what I am writing about. This kit I bought about 20 years ago. I started it and then the fiddly construction irritated me and it went back on the shelf. I pulled it down earlier this year, found some Studio 27 decals that put the kit decals to shame and its one of the best looking models in my display case.
  9. Correct. The fan is mounted on the top and I do not have a light. The fan is not very loud at all.
  10. I have what would likely be the equivilant 24" Mini Plus. I bought mine 3 - 4 years ago, and I think they may have changed some of the model names.
  11. Great job! The colors look really cool.
  12. Great work! Really stunning.
  13. Great job! I like it a lot.
  14. I use a Pace spray booth and like it a lot. I attached a flexible metal dryer hose to the motor and then connect PVC pipe to the dryer hose. I then run the PVC pipe outside the bottom of my garage door. I run the motor for about 15 minutes before I start painting and then for about 20 - 30 minutes after I am through. There are no residual fumes when I am done.
  15. Union Pacific has the train on a countrywide tour to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the completion of the transcontinental railroad. Watched several You Tube videos last night since it rolled into our town last night. The crowds to see the train are impressive. Would have liked to have seen it this morning, but had too much to do at work.
  16. Great job! Paint and decals look outstanding.
  17. Great job! I think this generation of Cutlasses is among the sexiest cars produced by Detroit.
  18. Great job Bruce!
  19. Looks great!
  20. Looks great!
  21. They do it to avoid product liability lawsuits. Yes, it is a pain, but how many commercials do we see on t.v. from law firms chasing down class action lawsuits? Those are just the tip of the iceberg, so to speak, of the product liability lawsuits that occur. As far as an electrical device, if it isn't plugged in, the chances of it causing a problem are highly improbable.
  22. It really depends on what one considers time travel. If one looks at it as people picking a time in the past or future and traveling there, that is likely impossible with what we know now. However, it is a known that as an object approaches the speed of light that time slows down for that object. Carl Sagan made the point on his Cosmos show that if an earthling could travel at speeds approaching the speed of light, that person could circumnavigate the known universe (at that time) and return to earth in several decades; however, the time elapsed on earth would be in the thousands of years. One would certainly have to consider this time travel. As far as life outside of our galaxy, I can believe it. I do not believe that intelligent life has been visiting our planet. To paraphrase Carl Sagan, our solar system and galaxy are in an uninteresting part of the universe. There is nothing of interest here that would cause one from another area of the universe to look here and think that this is a place they have to explore.
  23. Great craftsmanship! Really outstanding.
  24. I vote, but it gets harder and harder to convince myself that it is worth the effort because nothing changes.
