    Very nicely done!
  5. Wow, that's nice!
  6. Thanks for the additional information Wayne. I appreciate it.
  7. You did a great job! Excellent workmanship.
  8. I don't make resolutions, but I have about 6 kits that are partially built that I have to complete. My 2 biggest problems with this is usually, I have a problem with a kit and I don't want to deal with it, so I set the kit aside. The second is that when I do this, I almost always lose parts. So it's time to get these completed.
  9. Thanks for the tips Wayne. I appreciate it. Did you by chance paint the body? One of the concerns I have is if there happen to be gaps where the decals are supposed to join together. Studying your pictures, I do not see any gaps, but am curious.
  10. The model looks very good and the weathering is excellent!
  11. Very well done, Joe. I don't make it to this part of the site very often; however, articles such as you wrote, I find very interesting.
  12. Great job on all of them. I agree with the others, the Buicks really stand out.
  13. I just saw one of these in a magazine that was yellow. Your color choice is much better. Great job!
  14. Looks real nice!
  15. Really outstanding build!
  16. Great job Wayne! Johnson is my favorite driver, and I always enjoy seeing builds of his cars. I have those decals in the bullpen. I want to do Jimmie's regular 2016 scheme first, so I can get all seven of the championship cars built.
  17. Thanks for the comments everybody. I appreciate it. Bruce, snow was not in the forecast, but unfortunately the weather people didn't get it right.
  18. This is a Revell snapper of Jimmie Johnson's 2013 championship Chevy SS and is built box stock. I added the side skirts and front splitter per a tutorial provided by MarkJ. The paint is Rustoleum Cobalt Blue metallic, which I think matches the blue used by HMS at that time pretty well. The clear coat is Future. The decals are from Patto's Place and were doubled up to improve opacity. I painted the white striping on the sides of the car and the roof. The decals do not fit the roof well at all, which is a problem of Patto's decals and the Revell SS and they did not fit well on the sides after the modification to the side skirts. Pretty straightforward and enjoyable build. Thanks for looking. Here are models of the previous 5 championships.
  19. Wow, that is really nice. The other two look great as well.
