    You did a great job!
  4. I try and buy the model cases when I can. In the meantime, I store them in Gallon size Ziplock bags.
  5. My wife and I have been married for 31 years. When we were first married, she detested my building models and at a family gathering complained very bitterly to one of her relatives. The relative who was a female cousin asked my wife some questions. I was not a part of the conversation but was within earshot, and the course of the conversation was something I will never forget. Wife's cousin: Does his hobby keep him at home? Wife: Yes. Wife's cousin: He is not out drinking with his friends? Wife: No. Wife's cousin: He is not out chasing skirts? Wife: No. Wife's cousin: The cost of the hobby does not interfere with paying your bills or doing things you want to do? Wife: No. Wife's cousin: I really don't know what you are complaining about. Since that time, my wife really hasn't given me much grief as long as I don't send too much time working on the models.
  6. Cost is an issue; although, governments can take care of that through tax legislation if they want or have to. To me the biggest drawback is the time it takes to recharge the batteries. Until they can get the charging time to be comparable to refilling a gasoline or diesel car, people are not going to be interested. There is a lot of time to improve the technology, but we have been told battery powered cars are the future since the early part of the 20th century.
  7. I read on another site a number of years ago that you really must use gloves with Super Clean, The thinking at the time was that there was a chemical in the Super Clean that will attack a person's liver. Whether this is correct or not, I will leave to each person to figure out. But I always use a thicker pair of gloves and would not trust nitrile gloves. I am not going to ruin my health over a hobby and I encourage others to use the same level of caution. As far as disposing this stuff, NEVER, EVER put it down the drain. While the Super Clean or Purple Power may be harmless, the paint is not. I put the stuff that I am not using anymore in its original container, label it and take it to the chemical disposal facility.
  8. Best of luck to him. A lot has changed in 6 years. It will interesting to see how he does and what kind of pace he runs.
