  2. Wow, excellent work!
  3. Fantastic job! Looks fabulous.
  4. The engine is from a Monogram NASCAR kit. That is a common engine for all of the GM kits of that time period. The Delta 88's were first released as a Hardee's livery car and then it was released with K-Mart livery. Later it was in a Kodak combo kit where there were two models. One was the Delta 88 and the other was a Cutlass from the late 80's to early 90's vintage.
  5. Looks real nice.
  6. Looks great! You did a real nice job with the paint.
  7. Looks great!
  8. When I was in my early 20's, I knew a guy who owned a hearse. I all seemed to be a bit too morbid for me.
  9. Really unfortunate. I am glad Robert knew he was going into the Hall of Fame before he passed. MLB and the NFL really screwed up with Ron Santo's and Ken Stabler's enshrinement as these two were voted into their respective Halls posthumously. The NASCAR voters saw that Robert was sick and voted him in. KUDOS to them.
  10. Another great build Mark. Really top drawer!

  18. For me modelling is a time vs. a reward issue. I don't have a lot of time to devote to building models, and at some point I have to complete them or too much builds up on the workbench. Or worse, I start to lose parts. I will put an engine in a model if it comes with one. I will paint it the proper color, but I do not wire or plumb it. I will do some basic detail to a chassis, but once again will not get carried away. I display my models on a shelf with the hoods down, so detail in the engine bay or the chassis will not be seen. One of my most recent builds turned out to be a curbside. It was a Jo Han AMX. The engine and transmission were warped and there was a serious gap where the sides glued together. The amount of time it was going to take to fix was not worth it, so it became a curbside. A picture is below.
  19. The model looks fabulous!

  22. Real Nice. The paint work on both is really outstanding!
  23. Nice work John! Those Delta 88 kits were among the best Monogram made. They went together well and there was not fiddling with the stance. They looked low and mean right out of the box.
  24. Dann, you did a superb job on this kit!
  25. Really outstanding work. You did a great job!
