    I have a smart phone that sits on my modeling desk most of the time. The only time I take it with me is if I am going to HL for the discount coupon. Look at it a couple of times a day to check e-mails or if I need to check my bank balance. I may be old school but I don't understand people who can't be away from their phones for five minutes.

    Just got back from the HEB to see the Gas Monkey/ Shiner Bock truck. Looks great in person. The guy said they are thinking of having a motorcycle built. Said it has been all over Texas with plans to display it out of state.

    My local Kroger is remodeling and blowing out a lot of stuff. Picked this up yesterday for $5.00 bucks. Base swivels.

    I grew up around old cars, I am 62 and my Dad never drove a new car. He bought my Mom a new car about every six or seven years. He instilled in me the love for old cars. I do notice in the birthday list that we have members in the teens and twenties so maybe the hobby is not dying. In my youth, models were the thing to do, we didn't have the internet or video games. I have one nephew and I gave him a kit, but he showed zero interest in it.. My Brother bought him a late model Mustang and he has no interest in it.. I told my Brother he might have been switched at birth.

    Tim is a great writer. I enjoy his SA articles. Wish I could afford one. I know from reading his previous articles this will be a great book to have. It's great to have him on this forum to share his vast modeling knowledge.
