Cinnamon asked me to give everyone an update. Stitches came out this afternoon and the vet says she is doing great. She is still a little tender but that is to be expected. She wanted to thank everyone who asked about her and sent their best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Don't know how you guys do it. Snowed maybe twice down here in my 62 years and once was in my childhood days. Glad we don't get snow as the people down here can't drive in rain. The wrecker drivers love it though.
Seems like we don't appreciate the older things and can't wait to tear them down to make room for something newer. Astrodome been in limbo for years with many proposals but no action except for becoming a home for rats and feral cats.
The loss of a pet is tragic. Even though we know it will happen, we are never ready for it. Hope you can love another, or two, or three, but until your ready, Hang in there.
The vet says around 12. She was found outside a convenience store by the dispatcher at a wrecker company I used to work at. People were kicking at her because she was trying to go in. The dispatcher took her home and would bring her to work. At first she wouldn't come to me but she picked her up and put her in my lap and we were fast friends. She would ride in the truck with me all day and throw a fit if I couldn't take her with me. In the summer I would leave the truck running with AC till she learned to step on the PW switch and jump out looking for me. Sometimes I would stop by the house for lunch and she got along with my other dogs fine. We all lived in the same area and if the dispatcher was going somewhere she would bring Cinnamon by the house for an overnight visit. Dispatcher lived on the same street as the shop and in the mornings if she was in the house she would throw a fit when she heard my truck go by. She knew the tone of my truck. After awhile she couldn't keep her any longer and asked if I would take her. We have had her about six years and she is spoiled rotted as are all my animals. The other dog is about 2 years old and she is fine. Right now our clan consists of 4 dogs, 3 guinea pigs, and two cats born on the property that have adopted us. She gets her stitches out Friday but it doesn't slow her down any.
Me too. There is no deceit in an animal, they will show you if they like you or not. They also love you unconditionally. All they ask is for love in return.
If you do decide to get a dog or any other pet please go to the shelter to adopt. Lots of animals with lots of love to give, They just need someone to give it to.
I overspent on clearance kits but as someone on SS, my modeling budget is small. Got nothing for sale or trade but kits I wanted and just couldn't afford. Did also pick up a few that I normally wouldn't buy but at clearance price they stretch my modeling dollars. Liked the 75 Vette, but didn't know about the great parts inside. Glad I decided to pick one up.
I also never log out but I am retired and only use my home computer. While not a computer expert, I do agree with Casey that your password generator may be the problem.
Cinnamon got into a fight with one of my other dogs and had to have a leg amputated. Hasn't slowed her down a bit. Still has her stitches in but doesn't seem to bother her any. Of course, all the extra attention is just fine with her. Being spoiled has always been one of her favorite activities. She loves her vets and they love her so everything is great. One vet even said if we wanted to give her up she wanted the first chance to adopt her. No chance of that, we have had her too long and she will be with us for life.
Great memories, wish they would reissue some of those early Falcons. Remember getting my first kits at the convenience store almost 55 years ago for around $2.00 each. Wasn't allowed to use paint but I could put together on the floor with newspaper underneath.
