    After the same experience (although not as bad) with the newest member of the pack I learned to close the model room door when I leave. Hope you find another car to continue the build. Looks like a few parts can be saved.

    I too have multiples going . Sometimes if I can't decide a paint color or get frustrated with a build I will put it aside and come back to it later. Currently have about a dozed WIP but have vowed to finish all before starting on another kit.

    Have a bottle of Ambroid E Z Mask. Says it works on non porous surfaces including plastic. Not sure if it would affect chrome. As this came in a box of model parts and paints, I'm not sure where to buy it but HL should carry it. Haven't tried it so check their website for info.
