  1. I only use Tamiya Flat White when doing any type of tire markings and a white Gel Pen for small tire markings.
  2. Heck! Now I want to find an Iron Horse!! Or a SuperStang
  3. I found one a few weeks ago, and in good shape, for only $20 as well. I am very surprised AMT has not re-issued it.
  4. Wow! I have never seen that one! Lucky Duck! And Happy Early Birthday!
  5. Some folks I know painted them from the inside to give them more depth in either silver or gold.
  6. That paint really pops! And yes, the trans is a wad of plastic begging to be thrown out! I started one of these when they first came out, need to finish it someday.
  7. I hereby award this Thread "The Lead Balloon" Award!
  8. Wow, this brings back a few memories! Loved these kits when I was a young kid. Definitely a Holy Grail for me.
  9. So, how long before you start scratching up a chassis for this one? LOL!
  10. I have an original and a couple of re-issues. It is a very cool kit of a very unique car and there is the problem, it is unique only to that car. Kit bashing can be done, but, it is basically a modified Young American/Garlits car. Those are more easy to kit bash.
  11. Just the Super Bug is all I want
  12. Nope, those things are everywhere and super cheap. I will do you a favor, send it to me and I will give you $10 for it. And only because I am a nice guy! LOL! But seriously, you owe that friend some lunch!
  13. Warm Soapy water and a soft toothbrush
  14. Maybe find a new kit, like a Challenger or Camaro and see if they have those on their valve covers and then shave them off. Or, find someone with a 3D printer
  15. Ok, then how about something more flexible in other ways.
  16. Trust me, i want to cry about the stuff I left behind!
  17. Dyno Don box with a Jo Han 69 GTX Funny Car in it! And funny chassis for the Rebel SST and some extra stuff! MPC 74 Dodge Pick Up. Mostly complete and missing the bike. I found the bike later, but, it was in another box and he would not let me move it over, unless I bought that box as well AMT 1966 Impala box with two of them in it! They are both mostly complete and very restorable! And finally, an AMT 67 Ford Falcon that is mostly complete and quite restoreable. It is rare to score like this, but when it happens, do let it pass you by!
  18. 65 Barracuda, and there are two in the box! Built up but restoreable Jo Han Rebel SST that was in a Javeling box. I found the Javelin AMX in another box, funny car build, but I was out of spending cash by now. MPC 69 Coronet R/T Funny Car in a 65 Mustang Box. Apparently this is the STP SuperHemi
  19. So, there was a Comic Book show this weekend here in San Diego and my little Brother went to check it out, next thing I know, he is sending me pics of vintage kits! So, he picked up the Dyno Don Pinto for me and I went today to grab some more. The deal was that all boxes where $20, and whatever was in it, just came with it. So, after digging around and sadly leaving some choice stuff behind, here is what I got. The Pinto is missing parts, but, there are two bodies in the kit and it was never touched otherwise. I grabbed the Monaco mostly for the box as mine is in sad shape, but, the box is holding three bodies. No chassis for any of them and lots of loose parts The Ford Mach ! is all there. Some work was done, but it can be cleaned up and fixed
  20. Nice to keep track of them! According to a faint memory, mine should be somewhere under a pile of kits in my model room or in my storage! LOL!
  21. Simple, there are tooling issues. Why is this so hard for some to just understand Supply and demand apparently was not met before this happened and now some are capitalizing on selling to those that missed out. I say just wait. Build something else in your pile and then build a 30 when they come back with them. I don't even know where I put mine!
