  1. Very nice and clean! And the different rims do make a difference.
  2. Well, I built John Milner's Dragster and now its time to do the rival car, The Hunt Bros. Racing Team Car from More American Graffiti This is an old body from Fremont Resin and it will need a bit of clean up here and there. It was made from the Tommy Ivo kit to fit on the Young American Chassis, which Joe also did in resin just in case you could not get your hands on one. This was a few years back. Donor kit is actually from a Fiat Rail Rod Slingshot Dragster, which is the last version issued of the Young American kit. The body will need a bit of a touch up especially around the rear of the chute pack body opening. Power will come from a Revell 392 Hemi out of the Willys Gasser kit, thanks Casey! Cutting the trans off to mate the engine to the clutch can and engine plate. The leftover trans is perfect for a proper gasser or early altered build. Here is the body compared to the Tommy Ivo that I think was done by Jim Kampmann and a stock Ramchargers rail And the engine size difference between the 392 Chrylser Hemi and the 426 Hemi Elephant This will not be the fasted build around but I will update the page when I do get things done! Thanks for watching!
  3. Scored a couple of kits at the Big 3 Car Swap Meet this past weekend. Got this AMT Vega Wagon Funny parts kit for only one dollar And these two for $25! The J Car is all there with almost enough parts for a second one. The Falcon is a build up but will restore nicely and it has the rest of the parts that came with the kit inside. The seller has had them since they where new and he built them as a kid! Yes, the are one owner kits!
  4. What a sweet cruiser! Very nice!
  5. Very nice! You did a great job and it shows the possibilities with this kit!! Bravo!
  6. Not all vintage re-releases have to be done by Model King. Round 2 could do it themselves as they have proven to be the case lately. They have seen that there is a market for vintage "original" style issues, they could start re-doing some of the combo kit as well. Since we have also shown we are willing to pay for them!
  7. Nailed it! Yes, I remember some of them being rough, but there where some really nice ones in the crowd as well! At least out in Southern California!
  8. Very, very nice!
  9. Wild! And those wheels are awesome!
  10. Too many pics to repost, so here is the link. This one is not funny http://autoholics.com/2011/11/07/Hemi--Cuda-Fatal-Accident-in-Delaware--580200
  11. Its the the last car in the first set of pics, a Charger
  12. Well, if its good enough for Revell to fake it, then I guess its ok The Cal Charger 1/16th kit shares the same engine with the Tony Nancy kit, the only difference being the relocated distributor and the valve covers. So, go for it!
  13. There are some serious differences between these engines. The only thing they share is the Hemispherical combustion chambers. Same car, different setups But, it is your build and you can do as you see fit. 392 Chrysler 426 Hemi
  14. Very nice and clean! I like it!
  15. Couldn't get one without the other!
  16. If you are going to open the doors, make sure they are done well. I have dealt with folks who opened doors for contest models and where shocked they did not even place. I kindly explained to them, after they asked me why, that if they had done it properly and not with a hot butter knife, they may have placed better. So yes, neatness counts, alot!
  17. You made a kooky kit look good! Nice!
  18. This is too cool! Nice job!
  19. And I like how the scoop is on backwards, on this toy!
  20. Almost looks like the Revell modeling buck. Neat!
  21. Other than the bodies, the Polar Lights funnies are all the same. The frames can be a bit fuzzy, but with patience, they look good. Everything else is pretty straight forward. But then again, its been a while since I built one.
