  1. Very cool idea and great execution! Nice!!
  2. Wow! That is a show car! Very nice and clean work!
  3. Dave Burkett is the Model King
  4. I would say yes, Casey. Looks like the same style of "Art" they used for their last Drag releases, Mongoose and Jungle Jim. Horrible box "art"! Come on Revell, get it together! Oh, yeah, Mustang
  5. The new nose is a vast improvement over the original. This is a pic of an early re-issue and a resin Malco body mastered by Paul Mendoza. The yellow nose is the original version
  6. Eric Clapton started building models when he began getting sober and apparently still does.
  7. Well, I am genuinely excited to be going to the show, and, I will be setting up in the vendors area!
  8. That is pretty cool, and yes, I do know how to paint!
  9. Thanks Chuck and everyone else who pointed it out. I forgot that I even posted on that thread. After re-reading it all, I must agree, it is not good that they can not get these things right. Bummer
  10. It looks even cooler in person!
  11. I had the two Mini Craft kits when I was a kid. Bought them at a discount type shop for only $1.50 each! Wish I still had them! I am a total sucker for vans and weird kits!
  12. Just curious, and before the thread does get locked, yo! We know Revell is aware of this and they have, in a sort of direct way via Mr. Ed Sexton, made it somewhat official that the body will not be fixed. Apparently it is not as bad as the Charger. So, with that said, will some of the folks who would like it changed, even though they are not fixing it as of right now, still buy it? We know why you don't want to spend money on it, but, in the long run, if nothing is done to the mold, will you just bite your lip and buy one? It's ok to be honest, you are among'st caring and loving people. And for the bonus round, has anyone actually measured a real one and compared it to the kit. I mean really used a measuring tape and did it. Not just "looked at one" If someone did and posted it, please let me know as I would like to see that. Really.
  13. Nice work, Chris! If I may suggest a build tip. Just in case you did not think of it already. On my last large build, I cut the top of the zoomies flat. If you look at them, they are molded like the tip of a needle with the tip at an angle. Cutting them flat with give them that staggered look, like real zoomies! Keep up the good work!
  14. That is definitely a "Dare to be different" build! Very cool!
  15. That is cool! I have a glue bomb for resto on the shelf and this will help! Thanks!
  16. Polar opposites, but both very cool! Nice job!
  17. Very nice!
  18. Thank you! Is this a home or cel number?
  19. Great news! Revell fixed the body!
  20. Nice and clean! Great job!
  21. Those would be nice in 1/16th!
  22. They had a budget of only $4 Million to work with. Most of the scenes are made using Cackle Cars and Restored cars. Not too many of them where used. Most old footage, original, is footage that has been out there for quite some time. Nothing new. Almost all of it was shot at Famoso Dragstrip in Bakersfield. With some creative CGI or Props, they managed to recreate the starting line at LIons. This could have been edited way better and creatively to stretch out the dollars available. I have seen student films with almost zero budgets look better than this one. Real shame because it is a good story that should have been told better. Better acting would have also helped. It looks like an after school T.V. Special. If you are old like me, you know what I am talking about.
  23. Went straight to a dumpster, should be the end of that sentence
  24. Yes, it sure is and so is the Dodge! That is why I bought them both, the ugly kid factor! LOL! I think they are going to be my next type of collection, ugly cars!
