  1. Fuel lines need to go under the car for the risk of fire. Most builders run their lines out in the open for ease of maintenance. The hoses coming off the valve covers are for venting fumes out of the engine and are caught in the vent tanks. Most use the chassis tubing as a long hose to the tanks. Most blown cars are remotely started just for the fact that turning over some of those blown motors are beyond the capability of most regular style starter and most blown classes dictate that you need the remoete, snout, starters. Batteries are carried just for operating most electronics and are usually just re-charged between rounds with a battery charger. Hope this helps
  2. Very nice, Drew! I like it a lot, and you you know what a big NASCAR fan I am! LOL!
  3. Very cool! Glad I still have mine in the garage! Both scales!!
  4. Thanks for sharing it with us and here is some info. Hope it helps!
  5. Mmmhhh, how about stock car parts?
  6. Thanks guys, I will get back on it ASAP!
  7. Can you cannibalise the parts from a Monogram Pro Stock kit? And yes, it is looking nice! Which body are you planning to use?
  8. That kit is a pain! Glad you got it done and done right! Nice work.
  9. I got mine for free. So not too much. I would start at $20
  10. Wow! This shows the incredible potential of this kit. Great build!
  11. Very nice and clean! And the different rims do make a difference.
  12. Well, I built John Milner's Dragster and now its time to do the rival car, The Hunt Bros. Racing Team Car from More American Graffiti This is an old body from Fremont Resin and it will need a bit of clean up here and there. It was made from the Tommy Ivo kit to fit on the Young American Chassis, which Joe also did in resin just in case you could not get your hands on one. This was a few years back. Donor kit is actually from a Fiat Rail Rod Slingshot Dragster, which is the last version issued of the Young American kit. The body will need a bit of a touch up especially around the rear of the chute pack body opening. Power will come from a Revell 392 Hemi out of the Willys Gasser kit, thanks Casey! Cutting the trans off to mate the engine to the clutch can and engine plate. The leftover trans is perfect for a proper gasser or early altered build. Here is the body compared to the Tommy Ivo that I think was done by Jim Kampmann and a stock Ramchargers rail And the engine size difference between the 392 Chrylser Hemi and the 426 Hemi Elephant This will not be the fasted build around but I will update the page when I do get things done! Thanks for watching!
  13. Scored a couple of kits at the Big 3 Car Swap Meet this past weekend. Got this AMT Vega Wagon Funny parts kit for only one dollar And these two for $25! The J Car is all there with almost enough parts for a second one. The Falcon is a build up but will restore nicely and it has the rest of the parts that came with the kit inside. The seller has had them since they where new and he built them as a kid! Yes, the are one owner kits!
  14. What a sweet cruiser! Very nice!
  15. Very nice! You did a great job and it shows the possibilities with this kit!! Bravo!
  16. Not all vintage re-releases have to be done by Model King. Round 2 could do it themselves as they have proven to be the case lately. They have seen that there is a market for vintage "original" style issues, they could start re-doing some of the combo kit as well. Since we have also shown we are willing to pay for them!
  17. Nailed it! Yes, I remember some of them being rough, but there where some really nice ones in the crowd as well! At least out in Southern California!
  18. Very, very nice!
  19. Wild! And those wheels are awesome!
