  1. That is Rad! I like the updated look of this classic bird!
  2. I know Auto World had a run of the Manx done in Blue, but I missed out on that one. I have tried to look for them, but, they are not easy to find online and I rarely have seen them on the bay. I almost had someone trade me one for one on the fire truck, but they backed out at the last minute.
  3. I bought one the other day and no Kat! Bummed! I really do want one. I was lucky with the Manx and I was hoping for this one as well.
  4. I would only want that kit for the figures.
  5. Pre Ordered while I was reading this!
  6. I snap up some of these clearance kits not only because of the price, but because they can be donated to Contest or Club raffles. Support your local Clubs and Contests!
  7. Checked one of the local HL stores today and all i found was the AMT 40 Ford and the Riviera on clearance, along with some military kits. Maybe more are going to get tagged soon
  8. That Midget should have been a bonus in a kit. like the Jet Ski or Mini Bikes. Slight up charge, but honestly, probably more desirable
  9. Oh, don't get me wrong, I was thoroughly entertained by this thread, and many others. Seeing how passionate some can get on little to no information is amazing!
  10. I am always amazed at the attention span around here. This thread was about Atlantis getting their hands on old tooling. Speculation began, statements where made and then it slid into what we want and they don't make, kit accuracy and so on.... These are old tools and nothing is going to change that, unless you make new tools, and that is another thread in itself. And then round and round we go!
  11. I personally have only seen random questions being posted on board like this by connected folks in the industry. But, I have also seen companies like Tamiya put out a pad and paper and ask folks what they would like to see from them. The AMT Blue Printer used to send questionnaire to feel things out, but mostly for re-issues. I am pretty sure they know that asking "What would you like" is a pretty loaded question that will garner a million answers that will not really match each other.
  12. i just wish AMT would Parts Pack the Slammer wheels so i wouldn't have to buy the whole kit for them.
  13. The Land Rover is marked at $34.99. Definitely a Coupon purchase!! Went to my local HL and it also had the Land Rover, Fairlane and 29 Ford. No Clearance items at all!
  14. They just clearance tag them on the shelf at my local HL Update: I stopped at a HL North of me and found a Revell Land Rover Series III and the Revell '29 Ford. Nothing else was new and nothing was on clearance.
  15. Used to, then it turned into Overhaulin and I stopped. Mainly watch Roadkill and it's spin offs now. Now hurry and finish that car or we are going to lose the shop!!
  16. BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH, I guess Gas Monkey is going to lose the shop! LOL!
  17. I need to check my local store tomorrow
  18. I would say they are focusing on making a return on these investments.
  19. When you are not bothering with all the parts, I.E. Detail, things move quite faster. And most die cast are done either super nice or very toy like, most leaning towards toy like. When die cast are converted into kits, the complaints pour in, but then again, that seems to be the norm in the model car world.
  20. I take it you have never dealt with Pegasus, or been to their shop in California. They are very much behind car builders and support our part of the hobby very enthusiastically. They are the go to shop in Southern California for Model Car builders. From kits to their own line of parts, they are not shy about being into cars. Give it time, I am sure they are working on something.
  21. The Pandemic, maybe? Considering that they where coming from China, that would pretty much slow them down, as we saw with other kits.
  22. I only wanted one of these to add to the collection, but, it is one awful looking car. I also can not understand the attraction to this car. I know most of it is nostalgia, but, that can only go so far.
  23. Well, I could always hope. I knew that it was a slim chance they would exist when Tom West showed me the busted up parts of the mold that made the engine blocks. But, he did tell me that, to his knowledge, the Tire Molds never came back from Canada. So makes me wonder what is out there somewhere. I look forward to your book!
  24. And I think these will be mostly built by guys over 40 anyway! LOL!
