  1. Finally! I can try and build them again after all these years! And I will assume, since the Black Max is a Harry Bradley design, and most likely was copyrighted by him, there must be a fee they didn't want to pay. The Mail Box Trike has it's original name due to the fee they must have paid for Roth's name to stay on it.
  2. Sharp! Really Sharp!
  3. CKD was never really that good of a Mag to me. And I am surprised it is still around! TRC was a nicer and better quality mag and it is sad it went away.
  4. Nice to see the "Get Off My Lawn!" crowd is alive and well! Maybe they should put those 14" wheels back on this thing...
  5. Would make a cool Cackle Car
  6. So, I just finished reading this and I must say, it seemed like a pretty short read! So much good stuff! Reading some parts of the book reminded me of the conversations I had with Tom West about the industry and what he did for our hobby. I miss Tom West. Thank Mr. Boyd for capturing a great chunk of our hobby once again and saving it's history.
  7. Yup And the Restoration
  8. Yeah, the remains where on display at the California Hot Rod Reunion, along with the replacement being built at the time.
  9. Well, Amazon sent me a message last week to inform me that they lost my package and that I could either get a refund or order another one. I waited one day and it showed up! Amazon delivery has been a bit overwhelmed and it is understandable that thing will not be on time all the time. And scaring me with losing it is not good.
  10. Wow! The original post was from 14 years ago!!
  11. While I really do love the AMT Vans, the MPC ones where way ahead in the detail department. Full interiors and more outside accessories, plus the 4X4 version of the Ford van where awesome. In my opinion, the MPC Vans where #1, then AMT Vans and then dead last, Revell Vans. Monogram are honorable mention because of them being 1/24 and decently shaped.
  12. They need to bring back the MPC Van. It has an interior and opening side door
  13. Well I am glad you fought back! That looks really nice! And yes, the Mickey looks really cool!
  14. Why the mystery, they are just painted black. Lots of engine builders painted the engines and associated parts black to help dissipate heat.
  15. That'll make a fun desk toy! Reverse the prop and turn it into a fan! Thanks for posting this!
  16. One of my all time favorite kits, and luckily I have one! But, a few more would not hurt.
  17. And Voila! September is here...
  18. False Alarm! It was a something I totally forgot that I had pre-ordered. My book is scheduled for the 15th of Sept.
  19. Cool! I know that over the years, certain kits that where motorized had the motor deleted and replaced with some sort of mechanical motivation. Thanks for the info!
  20. Amazon says it just shipped and should be here tomorrow!
  21. Too cool! But, will they really be Motorized?
  22. That is cool! I still have mine from when it was issued in 1987! Started it by painting the chassis and then back in the box and have not touched it since! Might have to finish it now.
  23. I just wanted to make a point about the wheel covers. I really don't care what comes in the kit, they are not going to be used anyway when I get my hands on it! Just get some decals done
  24. So are you saying there is no way a Boss 351 came with those? From what I can tell, you could pretty much get them all, with the Mag ones being the high end option. And yes, not all Fords came with those Mags and yet that is all we ever see. Kudos to Revell if they stick with these and keep it unique.
