Toyota GT-One that is. I 'll be doing the body decals next, I have been doing Carbon Fibre and Kevlar decals for over a week. I also did some ductwork not yet installed.

That is 1/43rd scale isn't it. Spark does put out some great stuff. Great model of a great car.

How right you are Bob, I am beginning to think they are some kind of modified enamels. I just found at recently I can mix Krylon paints with Tamiya's TS paints and they airbrush fine. Krylon paints are an Acrylic Enamel.

A better way than sanding to get rid of a molded, textured surface is to use a an abrasive cleaner like Soft Scrub or something simular. Vigorus scrubbing using a toothbrush will remove the texture more evenly especially on non flat surfaces. I use it to smooth out Primer on a detailed chassis that would be impossible to sand. -
Here is an Audi I wish they would have made.

I don't have the R35 yet, at the list price price of $70.00 I might have to buy one on the installment plan. At some point I will want it so bad I will pay the price though.

That is really cool and very well done.

Just finished this one, Tamiya's Xanavi R34. Paint is Tamiya TS-8 Italian Red and TS-17 Gloss Aluminum with TS-13 Clear over that. Rear and rear quarter windows were airbrushed with TS-71 Smoke. I rubbed some pencil led dust over the lettering on the tires to tone down the brightness. Future and Zymol Wax were used over the decals.

Don't worry Bernie will suffer, He is going through a divorce. The payoff will probably dwarf the McCartney settlement. He says no matter what he will run F1 forever( Iguess he thinks he's immortal). It's a shame to see traditional races disappear. it will soon be known as the Pacific rim series. Although the Chinese race is not doing well, they had to invite school kids to fill the stands and some gates were letting people in for free, ticket prices were only 45-55 euros. For all it's problems it still far more interesting than NASCAR's stupid version of bumper cars.

Some progress, chassis is done and body is ready for Future and Wax.

Having Paint issues, need some advice...

If you are stripping Tamiya paints try using 91%(not 70%) alcohol. I t strips Duplicor laquers also. Another way to prep a body for paint(even after primer) is to scrub the body with Soft Scrub bathroom cleaner using a Toothbrush. It is a mild abrasive and puts a nice scuff on bare plastic and will smooth down a rough primer coat. This is very good for areas are that are hard to get at to sand, like a chassis with allot of molded and raised detail. -

Maybe Kimi will have an "accident" with Hamilton. -
Thanks, And I wanted to ask Nick if he is such a good driver to get the old PC version of Grand Prix Legends, it is one of the toughest to drive of all video games.

I am currently building the Xanavi Nismo GTR R-34 and will be building the 99 Toyota GT1. P aint on the r34 is Tamiya TS-8 Ital;ian Red and TS-17 Gloss Aluminum with TS-13 Clear. The GT-1 is Tamiya TS-49 Bright Red and Krylon White for the evil(Marlboro) triangles.

Chinese Grand Prix Results...

Saw this story at F1M.com Hamilton out of Championship Race Lewis Hamilton Disqualified After China GP Win! Written by Brancastrian Story written: 19 October 2008 Following his emphatic victory in the Chinese Grand Prix, British racing driver Lewis Hamilton has seen joy turn to despair after being disqualified and relegated to last place by Grand Prix officials, following the end of the race. The Officials listed a "catalogue of infringements" against Hamilton that contributed to his disqualification, including "driving very fast", "leading the race for too long", and, crucially "not letting Ferrari win". F1, short for "Ferrari 1" has mounted a long and systematic disciplinary process against Hamilton this season. Last week it emerged that he had been deducted points for "listening to Led Zeppelin" whist, in July, he was banned from driving for three days-neatly co-inciding with the British Grand Prix-for "wearing a loud shirt without permission". Officials have since awarded victory in the Grand Prix to ex-Ferrari driver Michael Schumacher, as well as awarding him 100 points for the "incredible" feat of winning a race that he was not even racing in. "For Michael to win this race without competing is a remarkable achievement and fully worthy of these points" said a Formula 1 spokesman after the race. Schumacher is therefore the 2008 Formula 1 World Champion. Hamilton will start next season on minus 50 points and will have to race in one of McLaren's four wheelied baby buggies for the first seven races of the campaign. Asked whether claims that Hamilton was being discriminated against in favour of Ferrari, Formula 1 officials branded that accusation as "ridiculous" and deducted him a further 50 points because he is British.(it's Just a Joke LOL) -
Oops! I guess my mind was on the one I am building now, the Xanavi NISMO GT-R R34
-
Here is a link to a presentation of the real car. At least this car looks like a 2008 race car which is more than I can say for the ###### NASCAR runs including the stupid Grand Am(daytona prototypes)they run.
-
The Xanavi R35 GT-R from the Japanese Super GT series. I have read that the roof panel is separate and molded in chrome. If you like wild racecars this series has some of the best.
-
Hasgawa's Lancia Delta with Studio 27 Decals for the 1992 Monte Carlo Rally. Paint is Krylon White.
-
he decals are done(except wing and front spoiler). The Studio 27 decals colors are much better than the kits. The kit blues are too dark, the red is about the same though.

Nick, I'm getting old, you have to help me, what for gosh sake is a Kei Office S15 drifter. It sounds like a drift car sponsored by an Office supply store. I'll stick to Martini's and Jaegermeisters(Burp!)
-
Nick, I forgot I even said that(the cheapskate thing). I just got too many bills these days and paint and supplys cost enough, so I just don't buy many new kits. I am thankful for the pile I have, If I could just live about 50 more years I might get them done(LOL). BTW Nick GET THAT AUDI FINISHED!
-
Here is the Jaegermeister version I do have built and still have in one piece.
-
I posted this for you Nick cause I know you like these cars. I paid for it with some the money I got selling models at the club meeting(times are getting tough moneywise). At least I know I will build this one. I built one when they first came out but it and allot of my older builds got destroyed(too long a story). My newer builds are better anyway.
