thanks guys! this was supposed to be a quick build....goin on a year now lol! Brian, i used sophisticated finishes to paint the manifolds and the waterpump, its a two part system that actually rusts
so obviously i didnt finish by the new year lol, but were nearing the finish line now. i still have some tidying up to do underthe hood and so forth, but heres a few pics of the progress.
ok Andrew, he wanted to know what email u used to contact him, he said use jlrahmo@aol.com he said he would be interested in the spokes but he already casts the others. hope this helps!
Thanks for the compliments fellas! I'll finish this thing one day maybe lol! Michael, i use telephone wire mostly, it isnt very pliable, u just have to work it a little before you mount it, then work it very carefully afterwards.
Ok, thanks man, i was worried about starting with too low of a grit cuz i didn't want to burn through. I shot two heavy coats of clear but that may not be enough. I usually build dirty old trucks so this is new to me.
now one thing I forgot to mention, i used aftermarket tires because the stock ones still didn't fit. You truck is looking good though, cant wait to see it finished!
i had thesame problem with the wheels and tires but fixed the problem las week....just haven't posted yet. On the steers all you need to do is and down the area where the wheel halves fit into each other onboth sides. That is the ouer lipon the inside of the chrome side and th recessed area it fits into on the other side. Ill pot before pics tomorrow ifi remember, but here are sme after pics
