  1. This is gonna be a great build!
  2. I really enjoyed building my Fisher 512s, Gonna be interesting to see your take on this kit!
  3. Here's two builds to compare. The Cobra is PPG Viking Blue: And the Malibu SS is Duplicolor GM Light Blue Metallic:
  4. I am really happy to see this kit come out! I can already see some cool variations on the build, and I plan to buy at least two of them to do an FHP version and a slightly modded street car. Maybe even a convertible to do the '89 LX I had back in the day. It may be the angle that the pics were taken, but the tail pipes look a bit "off" to me. One of the things that made the "look" of the LX were those brushed stainless tail pipes following the lower quarter panels out to the bumper. Hopefully this won't be the case with the production kit, but it won't be a deal breaker for me. I'm a model builder, I'll fix it
  5. Very nice. Too bad there was never a roadster version of that kit
  6. You'll have scratch build the engine, reshape the bumpers, y-pipe/single exhaust, invert the lower grille, and use the '08 Bullitt grille for a base V6, or use that grille and the fog lights and grille trim from a '67/'68 Mustang GT to make a V6 Pony Pack car.
  7. I also use a Kodak camera, but never installed the software. I pop the SD card into the card reader, and drag and drop the pic files onto the laptop.
  8. No, they came from Norm. As far as I know, he's only sold two sets, one to me, and one to Gary66 over on Randy's NASCAR Model Forum
  9. Nice work!
  10. Coming together real nice!
  11. Email Norm for those wheels, I lost the card from the package.
  12. Rotus, huh? Interesting power choice, gotta wonder how many 1:1 Caterham Sevens ended up with rotary power. Cool build!
  13. Those wheels are available from Replicas & Miniatures of MD. Made to fit the kit tires, there are five wheels with separate lug nuts.
  14. Thanks, Here's the rest of the pics: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=45258&hl=&fromsearch=1
  15. Take your time fitting all the panels together, it will pay off in the end. It's a neat kit though, have fun with it!
  16. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference. When I built NASCAR models, I cleared over the decals. For better or worse, all the NASCAR models look the same as the day I finished them. Some 13+ years later, none of those decals have lifted, peeled, chipped, flaked, discolored, or otherwise gone wonky. Some self-appointed internet expert may look down his nose at me for it, but hey, that's their problem, not mine
  17. Nice work! Gonna have to try one of those old F-1 kits sometime.
  18. You certainly are cranking out the builds, nice ones at that! Good to see somebody in this neck of the woods building...
  19. It's an old kit, I built it as a kid... be interesting to see everybody's take on it.
  20. I'm over near Citrus Hills North on CR 486...
  21. I've got one of those on the bench - been off and on the bench for the past few years. Not eligible for the club project though...
  22. Mono = one, Ped = foot, or leg. Since I am no longer a biped, it fits. Avatar changes when I feel like it.
