  1. Haha! No, not yet. The wife and kids would probably kill me! I will dig through a few boxes tonight though.
  2. Looks good! Just picked up an 8B from evilBay cheap. Missing a door, but will scratch build it. Will try to catch up w/you on the build! It's a nice looking kit! Both yours and Haubenschild's were my inspiration for looking for one! Will also note the engine wiring step for the engine cover fitting. Keep up the work! Looking forward to following the build! Tim
  3. Here's where I stand w/my 55 Vette: Sorting out little fitment issues now w/the body and rear suspension. Tim
  4. So Createx works well on styrene? The bottles didn't say anything about plastic, so I was worried about trying them on it. Love the color combo! Tim
  5. Ira, love your builds! Makes me want to get ALL of my models spread out on the floor and see what I might be able to combine together! Keep it up! Tim
  6. Absolutely LOVE it! Will have to find some Deals Tires/Wheels and give something like this a go. Looks like a blast to build! Tim
  7. Ah. Been there, done that. Color looks great though! Tim
  8. Tamiya paints again?
  9. I did drill out and file the grille. Forgot about that. Started that before I did any other work, when trying to figure out what I was going to do w/this kit. And thanks guys! Tim
  10. That's just about typical ride height for the MGB. Maybe off by about scale 1/2". Love these classic MGs. Look forward to seeing this further along. Tim
  11. Needed to add a wedge to one side of the chassis to bring the wheelbase in line and straight. More shots of the new spare tire well. Tim
  12. Opened up the trunk. Finally found some more pictures of this beast and found a trunk shot w/the fuel cell and battery. Will emulate that. Glued the hinge in place to make locating the trunk lid to hinge nice and straight. Probably unnecessary, but sounded like a good idea at the time. Spare tire well WAY too small. Used the bottom of a prescription bottle. Fits the stock tires perfectly, but this will have a fuel cell and battery instead. Tim
  13. Weekend update. Did a bunch of work. Just about ready for primer and color. Trimmed off the tops of the door panel padding. They are sagging and twisted and spaced away from the door assuming you'd like to use the optional windows supplied w/the top. These will be sanded smooth and glued right to the body. Here you can see the twist/sag. Glued to the body along w/the dash top after some sanding. Tim
  14. Here's my Saturday workbench (also doubles as my computer desk at the moment)... Working on a 1955 Corvette vintage racer.
  15. Absolutely LOVE these DW machines! Tim
  16. I might have to pick up another one or 2 of this one also. There's another vintage racer that I'd love to build and something mild 60s hot rod I'd like to try. Now that I know what to look out for when building this kit, it won't be as much tinkering. Tim
  17. Mike, the Testors One Coat is nice. I've used the Lime Ice before with good results. Can't wait to see what it looks like w/the wheels on! I just finished making resin copies of my 23" and 19" Ts (my first attempt at resin - needless to say I learned a lot about making molds to reduce air pockets!). Anyway, hope to see more progress soon! Tim
  18. Rear suspension done, ride height set. Hoping this will be a quick build. Want to concentrate on the exterior more than anything else. Tim
  19. Cato, thanks for the tip on the putty. I'll have to pick some of that up. Tim
  20. Beautiful and excellent photo skills! Tim
  21. Thanks guys! Got camber and ride height set up front. Tim
