  1. awsome result , love the paint !! next time just hit edit on your first post , then you can add a pic .. looks better then all those loose posts
  2. still awsome cant waight to see some paint on that body
  3. nice idea pretty ambitious when your new to moddel building hehe the crash bars could be made from the windows the parts are in from the kit. all depends on the thickness of those some are perfect oher to thick .. if you really want to make it easy for yourself you could get round styrene from evergreen or .....but thats more expensive and if you can make stuff from scrap its always fun ...
  4. looking great
  5. really cool never knew he did that . always found modelbuilding for the movies very interesting and often i do see stuff come by in a movie where you think > must be moddelbuild ..
  6. hey thnx !! and what team do you mean ???? i will add a ton of tiny details like rattle cans , tin cans , boxes , tools etc etc so i thought i'd start making some stuff inbetween the bigger items first made a wooden shelf above the left bench , i will add a nother one next to it and maybe 2 higher up , why will be clear in this post so i can fill them with smalls luckely i found a trophy in my partsbox , it needed to be glued together i got that from some partsboxes i got from a friend who didnt used the stuff , glued it together and painted it gold > so i already got a price hahaha the base will be black later on then went wild and scratched these tiny cans and sprayed a bucket out of the fujimi kit silver (so didnt made that myself) painted the cans orange and glued them in place here you can see how cool it will be with filled shelfs of tiny things , so that will grow in time from here on
  7. haha thnx finished the second bench ,polisher and drill , gave them a new green coat of paint , weathered them with black and rust en a bit of clear so there is some shine then used one half of a aeroplane bomb and made a sleeve on the pipes so its thicker and added a shutter wheel its high up but thats because the building had previous uses and thats from the early days the black i put on the pipes looked terrible so i painted them green then painted the shutter wheel red , thats actually a steering wheel from a formula one car (smaal size was perfect). i just removed one center spoke and made teh edge ribbed added a powerline to the drill some brackets on the piping and rusted them a bit in places made it so the rust runend down along the wall all together shot
  8. thnx for the awsome comment made a storage peice for teh grease barrels , i want to make some sort of pump with lines so they can get grease there painted it red first and added a large valvoline decal en "some" grease i also bought a desk a while ago , it said 1/24 but was way to wide for the scale so i cut that in half in lenght then used the 2 parts like this to make a narrower long workbench , added a small pillar in themiddle for strenght and a new pillar under the colkomn drill , left overs from the altered lanterns on the wall the drill with real drill bit , will get all new paint from top to bottom will place it like this when finished made a door front with knob and added a wooden top out of 3 strips of wood and painted it with wood stain

  14. when i look on one of hollands biggest second hand sites i always find cool hotrod kits , musscle cars , garage kits ...all for cheap prices.. there is so much you can buy here in holland hotrod and custom related , all my kits and parts are bought in holland and not ordered from ...... and we have a big online site where the guy buys and sells vintage usa kits ...and there is more like that but ...i will put it to rest now the new generation isnt big on modelbuilding thats true sadly.. on the other hand the few times i go into a big modelstore in rotterdam i do see kids buying kits .... si its not all dead on their side , just not that polulair in the general young population its sad people think they cant have a hobby due to economy i also dont have a lot of money to spend on like styrene or all the expensive paints or aftermarket p/e and stuff i also own a house with hudge mortgage , pay a hudge deal of healthcare for me and my wife , not to mention fuell prices and increasing taxes ...but if you want you can do modelbuilding cheap , i always shop online and bought all of my kits second hand.. i even enjoy the search ... i even got loads of parts from people on forums who loved my work and said can you use this ?? thats also something i love about this hobby people are way more enthousiastic amoung eitch other then on other hobby's
  15. thnx guys did a nother round on the red cabinet , the workbench , desk and heater first used some dark wood-stain (clear) on the wooden tops and those really popped and came to life. then did some clear on all the red parts wich also did a lot and last used some matt black over the previous grey i put on it as weathering so there where to tones of darked grease and filth dirt the attic was a bit blend with the silver and green so i redid the railing with real wood and used wood tstain on that as well will make a raling along the stairs in the same style with wood on top and made some more magazines , now did the classic hotrod issues from back in the day
  16. finished the cabinet and weathering , ooks a bit blue on the pics but its not irl , needs more tones over the grey but thats a job i will do all at ounce then changed the floor and made it look like big concrete plates black in the edges
