  1. thnx all !! busy atm with my garage diorama and its going so smooth i didnt start a new car build yet ... you can see it here in the diorama section if i'm starting a new build it will most lickely be a mercedes lieferwagen , that i will use as a base to builkd a kick ass panelvan hotrod.. really got the right lines and i have some revell deuze fenders left to widen te fender on that but i also have a 49 mercury sedan that look apieling here is one shot i made recently of the roadster ...
  2. whow thats soo clean and realistic the green paint is spot on for that car / perioud love it
  3. omg thats soo cool and that cooler is stunning .. color is great just love the whole build
  4. awsome paint job @@ ) o
  5. thnx guys strated to scratch build a cabinet to hang above the workbench , used steel pins as knobs for the doors and again placed the doors slightly open for that extra dimension did the cabinet red , its real fireengine red but due to the evening pics it looks real dull also did the workbench red , not completly , just a mix strated some piping , its the first rough placement , where the pipes meet i will make a sleeve and i will make a shutter with turnwheel and some brakets the reason the rear inside was not painted > placed some diamond plate in there to ad some bling .. its all filthy and weathered and now i'm at the point where every now and then i will ad some more shiney things to balance it out a bit my 1/24 employees are present
  6. the parts just look so real :0 love the details like the pedals and stuff
  7. lol thnx well its finally progressing now , i have bright led lights to make like hanging lights later on and spotlights .. then when all the tools and jacks and stuff will come in the realism will only increse also want to make cartboard boxes and stuff .. so much in my head that still needs to ome out lol today continued the storage room and attic i wanted some doors and used the pieces that where suppost to go on my opel blitz coe truck , since i build that as a hotrod truck i had these to play with they where to small in width so i used some styrene placed them opened up like this painted the doors green and the hinges steel , and modiefied the stairs so they steps are now level .. i'm happy with the result these are all cut pieces from the big attic i first made set in place then called a mechanic to screw a piece of diamond plate on top in the beginning i made a scratch build colom drill and grind/polisher , now thinking where to place them and make a base plate and get some powerlines to them and make a biymore detail like switches
  8. made a strip under the workbench so the top didnt look so thin , added decals on the right side
  9. thnx guys and just try it .. its great fun to do and you can use al sorts of stuff
  10. very cool ! love the wiring and that color is sweet btw next time try this (you probable know but...) > it is so easy and gives such a big result .. take the stock chrome grille and some matt black enamel paint , paint the whole grille black on the front so the paint is in between te edges and right away use a soft smooth cloth and pull it over your finger and wipe of the paint. every wipe use a clean part of the cloth and do that until the top is clean then the black stays in between the edges the result can be so good you would swear its a opened up grille
  11. those look awsome and clean !!
  12. just stunning !!!!!!! looking very very good at this point > whow
  13. didnt do to much today , just made a second wall socket and next to the 2 i then had made lightswitches .. they are so tiny i can place 4 on one fingernail so making a tumble switch was a but tricky so i used a pin and i think it looks quite nice right ?? put a revell decal on the doors window the rolling door will also get way more detail like pinlocks , hinges and a mechanism
  14. hahaha thats cool , awsome job !!!!!!!!!
  15. thats crazy heheheh love the silverwork on the seats !!
  16. hmm nice , love the start !! planning on doing somethin that rough myself
  17. guys its simple , i use facebook for uploading all my modelling pictures , some people might think show off because i already have hundreds of modelpics on facebook atm listen i used imageschack for years (also on automotive photoshop forums) and suddenly they set a max of the ammount of pics .. facebook is unlimited , you can make albums and put as many pics on there as you want , upload is quite fast .. just hit post a picture and choose make an album , name that album , for instance modelcars part 1 .. then you can upload multiple pics at a time , i always opload 10 at a time because posting here on the forum you can only show 10 pics in one post (direct visible) so then you have your album on facebook and you just click the first picture you want to show here and right click and copy the link then type img codes here on the forum and set the link in between now one small thing i have had some posting issues here try this > when you have the box you can type your post in here on the forum , there is a small grey box in the top left corner , click that and the smileys cant be selected , type your post in that mode and the type the text and the pictures with the codes the click the box again in the top left corner and the smileys apeir again and you can see your pics before you posted them .. then hit post and tadaa they are there why like that ?? well i have had the issue that when i didnt do it like that only 2 pics of the 10 i posted where there and most of the text was gone the way i explained it works perfect here every time !! and also using the img codes sows the pics right away wich imo looks better then those small thumbs you see sometimes and people can directly see your pic and dont have to click it and since there is so much too see here tha saves everybody a lot of time and some might even not bother to click thumbs what you can also do is get photoshop and resize your pics before uploading that increases the pic quality a bit , i dont know if facebook does that automaticly ?? i think so but not sure
  18. thnx guys awsome comments btw at the moment i have not started a new build and i'm really working on the garage , trying to really go for detail now , already did 2 working lights , heating system i find when i start a car build the diorama stays behind .. got a week of work so decided to really go for the dio this week
  19. well i dont really understand the comment of the crazy explorer ... holland always has been a country with a large amount of modelbuilders and i already stated the new generation is not really into it .. but i actually see so much people build and hear of people who have build or picking up the hobby again and like said the amount of shops are def. going down in the past years but i know of a lot of nice shops where you can get a lot of stuff and still walk in the door and look around .. and like said a lot of ship builders , militairy builders , the thing is .. and thats the thing a lot of dutch people dont go online to share their hobby , still we have a nice online community , maybe not massive but then again our county is smaller then most states in the usa and our neighbours from belgium always have been people to start clubs / comunity's and do stuff every weekend i know because i always was part of the belgium carshow scene and went to belgium every weekend . and believe me every weekend there are so much shows and markets in belgium on any level of stuff , so many different things to do there and people there massivly go out to do stuff , no matter what hobby it is there is something to do there the dutch tend to stay in build in silence and are not that active in online community's so i still believe there are a whole lot of modelbuilding enthousiast here like said from my younger years till now i have come across so much people who build its .... and i myself only started building for real in 2008 .. sure i build a model or 2 when i was young (better said glued together) but really discovered the hobby at a late age myself its like when i saw the question i thought yes holland is a modelbuild country because i'm turning 38 and as long as i can remember i have seen people build , found stuff online and went to shops every ounce in a while (back in the day with my dad) so that why i believe modelling is tied to the dutch
  20. started some of the electrical wires , made a master switch first , like a emergency power stop added wires to the lights , i will add vrakets so the light fixtures look bolted to the wall instead of just going in the wall like atm power to the heating system (that also will get some gass lines attached) some weathering
  21. i got a week of work , need to take some holliday days because out "law" changed so you cant have to many holiday days from past years .. so ...some building then ? also need to continue the diy job upstairs but the garage dio was more apeiling hehehehe first painted the attic and storage unit then added some cool brand decals , all hotrod related made a finish flag band out of 2 setarate pieces of decal happy with the size now i can put in more detail then i would have been able to with a parge storage ... and attic
  22. started a small warehouse for parts storage and a attic .. i reduced the side drasticly with what i stareted with , looks way better imo just testing to put some open doors in there added some pillars and made a dooredge ...uuhhm how do you guys call that doorframing >>? the wide edge of the railing on the attic will get some hotrod related logos and brands with decals
  23. thnx guys .. well yes i left it alone for a while , i just could not find the right feel and look .. and surely after a while when i started again its just came natural .. also i have experimented a lot with weathered metal paint and now have a decent enough tenchnique first i was working with wood and tbh that was not the look i was after for a greasy garage ...so i myself are pretty pleased with the way its heading atm and yes you always get inspired by others , thats the fun of seeing other threads > you learn a lot by just seeing whats possible
  24. awsome !!!! just love it !! maybe give the taillight lenses a light watery wash .. cool stuff
