  1. Very nice job. I like the out of the box thinking. Scott
  2. Does anybody know how this kit compares to AMT's Gullwing kit? Scott
  3. Thank you. This type of info always helps. I'm always looking for way to improve my model building technics. And when I see a nice model like your's, it's always nice to hear what you used and how you did it. Scott
  4. Randy, tell us more about the paint. Air brush or rattle can? What brand or paint? What color red is it? It's very, very nice. Scott
  5. My parents too bought one new in 1975. Kind of a rusty red color. Tan bucket seats, no vinyl roof. Not one of my favorite cars, but I would love it if Round 2 would repop this one. Scott
  6. As Midnightprowler above said, "Cool!" I don't think I can add any more to that. Scott
  7. Nice. Scott
  8. Missed this kit the first time it was out. Looking forward to the reissue. Scott
  9. Hands down the Cord 810s and 812s are the prettiest cars ever designed. And you've done a great job capturing the essence of the car. Scott
  10. Other than the wheels, I like your '71. Scott
  11. Love the big Mustangs. I too have built a copy the Diamonds Are Forever Bond car. I used the last issue of the AMT Boss 351 kit with Keith Marks Mach 1 decals. The kit is a piece of you know what. But, it turned out fairly well. Scott
  12. Nice job. This is one of my all time favorite AMT kits. I've built a couple over the years. In fact I'm working on the latest reissue right now. I've always found this kit a pleasure to build. And I love the level of detail to the kit. Makes for a nice model of one of my all time favorite cars. Avanti.... Forward! Still. Scott
  13. I love the odd stuff like this. Very cool. Didn't know the CHP used Nashs back in the day. Scott
  14. 1965? You mean 1956. Right? Still cool. I like it. Scott
  15. It's fun to go back and look at older postings that I may have missed. I keep running into treasures like this. Wow! Very nice. I'm a big Stude fan. And growing up in Minnesota, the Land of 10,000 Lakes, I tend to like boats. Especially old wood boats like Cris Crafts, which use to to be built here Minnesota. Scott
  16. Very cool! I never expected to see these two kits done in this manner. A very cool concept all the way. I like both vehicles. I built my Daytona Transporter as shown on the box cover. I was disappointed find out how narrow the bed is on this thing is, and how little will fit in it. Never would have thought the Chrysler Turbine Car would fit. It looks snug. But it's fits. And the way you set it up, it looks right. I love it. Scott
  17. You can't hear me. But I'm singing Volare right now. I love these cars. I know, I'm sick. Scott
  18. Very nice Nick. Fun combo. It's a shame Chevy never offered a '66 Chevelle 2-door wagon. Your's looks great. And growing up in the 60's, I love the Schwinn Sting Ray. I assume that came from the old MPC/AMT Model A woodie/pickup kit? The camping trailer also has the right looks for the mid-60's. Time to "See the America First". Scott
  19. Very cool! Now Buzz and Todd need to be upgraded to a new Stingray when that kit appears. Scott
  20. Wow! Very cool! I've always admired the work it takes to build full customs like yours. The other thing I like about yours is the design. Some customs one can admire the work, but question the design. In other words I've seen some customs that were not very good looking, even if they were built well. I like the looks of what you've done. And, I love doors. Great job. Scott
  21. Fun to see one built. I'm also disappointed now that I've seen one built. Your build is great. In other words the work you did is great. But, boy! I had heard bad things about this kit in the past. People weren't exaggerating. The angle of windshield and door vent wings look terrible. It's a shame. Round 2 is reissuing this kit for Mustang's 50th Anniversary. After seeing your, even as nice of a job as you did with it, I will not be buying the reissue. Scott
  22. Boy, I was buying this, hook, line, and sinker. Great model. And a great background story. I've heard of state governments doing stupider things. So this kind of made sense. Plus I now wonder how a Cosworth Vega would have done in that role? Scott
  23. How about more info and better photos of this kit. I want to know more. What kit did you start with? What scale? How did you do the roof? I've built AMT's old '55 Nomad as the phantom El Camino with the parts included in the kit. And I had good results. I'm wondering how similar your build was to doing that one? Scott
  24. I can't resist a pun..... Cool! I had to do it. I'm sorry. But, it's true. Very nice job. The color makes more sense than yellow for a nice delivery truck. I like it. Scott
  25. Maybe the lack of a way of getting fuel into their truck's engines, is why your mail doesn't come in a more timely manner Al! I hope Mr. Mendoza has a sense of humor. Over all it's a nice model. It's just missing a thing or two. Scott.
