  1. I don't know why, but I think you kind of ruin it by just showing the ending the way you do here. The wait to getting to that ending makes it more rewarding to see.
  2. If the old Mutt II tooling exists, they need to reissue a stock '76-'77 Cobra II version.
  3. I too find this cool. An odd one from France. One those French Fords after Simca's buy out of that company, I assume?
  4. Three guesses to what I got today. ? Yep. ? Another airplane. A Monogram Piper Tri-Pacer still wrapped in the plastic. A 1995 reissue. Plus a book to help identify the different members in the Piper family.
  5. I like the silo video. Ending definitely made it worth watching. The second video is too longggggggggggg.
  6. Tim - if your view is worth 2 cents, mine is only worth a penny. I always enjoying hearing your opinions on the subject of model kits in particular. Because your opinions tend to be based on facts and logic, rather conjecture.
  7. Had more fun enjoying each other's company, that we never got around to watching the movie. Which was okay with me.
  8. I have a niece with a 16 month ago boy. And it was a lot fun to watch him at his first Christmas where he's kind of aware of what's going on. He loves the song Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, and will point at his or others noses when it's being song. He liked the toys he got. But, had much more fun with a box he could sit in. Little kids + Christmas. That's what it's all about to me. The best gift other than watching my grandnephew, was seeing my nieces reactions to what I got for them and their significant others. I am a very avid reader. And love the classics. So they asked that I buy books for each of them for Christmas. As they've enjoyed that in the past from me. So, I got each one a copy of one my all time favorite books. An unabridged copy of the Count of Monte Cristo. The reaction was better than I hoped. I'm really looking forward to hearing their thoughts as they read the book. Little Noah, the grandnephew got a copy of one of my favorite kid's books, Bad Kitty. Sorry to have stray off coarse. No models under the tree for me. But, I'm glad about that. I buy what I want and like model wise for myself all year round. And I hate to disappoint others because I didn't show enough enthusiasm because I either dislike or already have the kit they picked out. I have told friends and family to not even try. I enjoy their company much more than anything else they can give me.
  9. Kind of cool. Where do we go to do this? When I was young, I was dumb enough to try things like that.
  10. The nieces know I love Star Trek. So they made me Star Trek Christmas cookies.
  11. The only Jean Shepard I've read were his columns back in Car & Driver, back in the 70's. I love his sense of humor, and do need to pickup a copy of In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash. I've heard of it. And have heard that it's good.
  12. Possibly the 2002 version of the Count of Monte Cristo this afternoon with friends. And more of the Magician (staring Bill Bixby) this evening when I get home.
  13. Good choice. They are still one the best. Nuk, nuk.
  14. A couple of photos dealing with my thoughts above on The Magician's plane. Any thoughts? Was it really the "Starship" or not? The first photo is the box art to present available model of the "Starship". The second is the article from TV guide on The Magician's airplane. The other three are of the "Starship" herself.
  15. Exactly the same situation with me. Including the Ho Ho Ho.
  16. Bought this off of ebay Saturday, and was delivered to my house yesterday. It's a DVD set of a lost classic 70's TV show. The Magician, starring Bill Bixby. I watched a couple of episodes on YouTube before deciding to ordered the complete series, all 21 episodes + the TV pilot, in this DVD collection. I'm happy to say that this is one of those shows I remember liking at the time, that holds well after viewing it 45 years later. The premise is a little unbelievable. A wealthy magician living on his own private Boeing 720 jetliner, solving crime. And he drives a Corvette which he parks in the cargo bay of the plane. The pilot episode does explain where he got the money to do this. But, still. It's a little unbelievable. Yet a fun fantasy. Bill Bixby is so good, and so fun to watch in this series, that I'm willing to buy the premise. Watching the shows got me thinking. I may want to build models of both his Corvette and Boeing 720. The Corvette should not be a problem. In the pilot episode it was a new '73 Corvette coupe. White with a tan interior. In the regular series, the same other than it was now a '74. What little research I can find on plane is an old article from TV Guide, claiming it was borrowed from a branch of the military. I question that. It looks more like the plane known as the "Starship", own by Bob Sherman and his manager, and used by many rock groups in the 1970's. Mainly Led Zeppelin. And if that's the case, there is a model of that exact plane, with decals to make that paint scheme available right now. So I may have to do The Magician's car and plane in model form. By way, the Magician's plane had the name "Sprit" on the nose. And Corvette had personalized license plates reading the SPRIT too. Cool.
  17. Okay. Personal email is sent. Again, thanks.
  18. Very good I wasn't sure of the answer to that. But, no matter what, the console and roll bar mounts are only correct for the Shelbys. The interior and console in Revell's '70 Mach 1 is correct that car. I wonder if it would be correct for this and Revell's other '69 Mustang kits? There should be few differences, that it would not let it work. Or you can do like I am, and ignoring the problem. I just figured that somebody wanted the Shelby roll bar and console in their regular Mustang, and did the conversion. Though what would one do with the courtesy and fog lamps switches in the Shelby console? The courtesy light switch? That's easy, hook it up to turn on your courtesy lights without using the regular light switch to do the job. But, what about the fog light switch? That one I haven't figured out an answer to yet.
  19. Great, I left a message for him to contact me.
  20. Thank you Snake. I signed up to join in, so I can respond to his offer. The price sounds good. By the way, I appreciate you referring to me there to him as a friend of yours. The feeling is like wise. Even though we've never meet directly. I do enjoy my interactions with you on this forum, and consider you too a friend.
  21. Now I like the above better than the real Uncertain T. Overall I'm not keen on it. But, it looks better. And I can't tell you why?
  22. Missed this one, the first time around. Very nice. I like it.
