  1. A few I'm interested in. The '60 Chev pickup, '32 Ford sedan delivery, and garage accessory set. The big Eagle also interests me. But, I have neither the money or the room for it.
  2. I've been waiting for awhile for this one to come back as an AMT kit. Lindberg's box art was enough to keep me away.
  3. I already have one without the turbine engine. The only way I'll buy another is if the turbine engine included.
  4. Normally the manufacturer, in this case Ford, made the decision of what was produced as a promo model. With where sales were going with the Ford XL vs. their LTD in the late 60's, makes sense to me. It's sad that they didn't offer a '70 XL. But, I understand it. Smart move by AMT to convert their LTD to a Galaxie, when the '70 model year was over. They were on a big push with their new American-Lafrance fire trucks. Converting their LTD into a Galaxie companion police car. And adding fire department equipment to their '70 Impala and new Chevy Van kits. A couple of years back, after the Round 2 reissue of the Galaxie, I bought the parts from Modelhaus to convert one of the kits back to the LTD. Since the roof line in really only correct for the 4-door hardtop, I trimmed away the window frames. No corrections were needed to the interior, since AMT did nothing to it when they converted it to the Galaxie.
  5. Okay, I didn't get this today. Or even very recently. I just got around to opening it up yesterday. The kit is Kitech's clone of AMT's 1/48 Airwolf helicopter kit. It's basically the same kit, maybe from slightly modified tooling of the AMT. Over all it looks pretty good. The only trouble is I'm not interested in building the Airwolf helicopter. I want build the civilian version of Bell 222. The original kit came with a couple extra pieces, of what I believe are called sponsons. In the original instructions AMT referred to them "stock wings" (?). These parts (parts 9, 10, 12 & 13), and a small set of decals were included in the AMT kit so you could built the civilian version of the Bell 222. And they are missing from the Kitech kit. I'm wondering if there is anybody out there who has built the old AMT Airwolf kit in the past, and did not use the civilian "stock wings"/sponsons. May still have them and the decals laying around. And may be willing to sell or do something for trade for those parts, so I can build the civilian Bell 222 I want. By the way, it's not that didn't like Airwolf. I've purchase the first season (and IMO the best) on DVD. It's just that I always thought the plain Bell 222 looked better.
  6. I like it. But then again, I've always liked corny joke like that.
  7. Mr. Popeko noted the mistake with a response a couple down from my posting you quoted me on.
  8. Thanks for the link to JTalmage's build of this kit. I don't know how missed seeing that one in the past. That maybe the nicest build I've ever seen of that kit. I think painting the trailer the way he did, is the only way one can assemble this kit and make it look good. Trying to finding a glue or cement that's sticky enough to hold the clear parts together during assembly, without damaging or fogging them is all but impossible. So painting the kit, like JTalmage did maybe the only way go.
  9. I'm little late on commenting on this one. Some how it slipped past me. I'm impressed. Your is the nicest build I've ever seem of this kit. And may push me to get mine done.
  10. I wonder if the Bonneville streamline body could make an appearance in another somewhere down the road? I have my doubts. Between retooling the body, and I don't really see another truck kit that would match the '60 Chev in theme. Oh well. At least we're getting the basic Go Kart back. And that's cool with me.
  11. Just saw this in the 2019 Auto World catalog I got in today's mail. I hadn't heard about this being reissued until then. And to see it's being reissued with Go Kart and in old style box art. This one moves up to a must have for me. Does anybody know anything about the Go Kart itself? Is this a reissue of the that appeared with several AMT pickup truck models in the early-to-mid 60's? Or is it something totally new?
  12. Not real Italian Job. The original, with Michael Cain.
  13. I forgot about that one. Very, very cool!
  14. Got the 2019 Auto World catalog today. I'm a little disappointed. Not much new shown. And I'm surprised at how many kits are listed as being discontinued. Especially in the Lindberg line of models. One bright spot I hadn't heard about, is AMT's 1960 Chevy Custom Fleetside with Go Kart. Between the Go Kart and the box art, that will be must have. Again, a lot of stuff being discontinued. Is this something we should be worried about?
  15. Isn't it Bob-Tail?
  16. I've done a couple of different searches on eBay looking for this kit. And so far I can find nothing. Is this kit available to masses as of yet?
  17. Okay? Is this the answer to my Mercedes question?
  18. I went back. I still do not see the answer to my questions. I now know scale since you were kind enough to tell me with your above response. Thank you. Now to find out who makes it?
  19. Beautiful models. Great job.
  20. So who makes it? And what scale is it?
  21. Does anybody have any photos of the Super Trailer/Display Case Trailer build, using the clear parts?
  22. Who makes the model above? ☝️ And in what scale?
  23. That ☝️looks okay. Not great. But not bad either. By the way, of that generation of Dodge truck, that particular front end ('77 & '78) is my favorite.
  24. What did the box for the original issue of MPC's '78 Dodge truck look like? And why not go back to that? Still, no matter what box art is used I plan on buying one. I like this generation of Dodge trucks.
