  1. How so? "what I can't let pass is..." Seriously? Well, when you walk away, just leave yours on the table and one of us will look after it for you.... mike
  2. Nice wheels sir. Are you making any like this for those of us not building 90's chevs? These would be applicable probably from the fifties to the eighties Ford, Chev and Dodge. Some nice 750-16s would be nice to find in both grip or smooth... mike
  3. If you ever bought a coffee at tim hortons, you'd know that wouldn't make a difference. They've probably got the worst sealing lid in the industry... anyways, I prefer mcd's 90wt mike
  4. We don't have to get nasty about it. If the pics he's shown of other projects are legit, he's done some very fine work on older kits. Obviously decided he's not into newer subjects but hiding doesn't enhance credibility... mike
  5. Wow! Looks like you could crawl right in and start it up. You really did it justice. In the right hands, this old tooling still runs circles around new kits. mike
  6. While I'm not really into the late model trucks, I'm surrounded by superduties new and old most of the day and thought I'd better bring one of these kits in to check out. Got the best deal at dc alley. Haven't started building yet but aside from the bizarre exhaust and minor things already mentioned all I can see right off the bat is a lack of steering box, track arm and drag link. Hardly game changers given the work put in on this; maybe when the glue starts to flow I'll discover the dreadful secret... mike
  7. Wow! Great choice of subject and another excellent build... mike
  8. Couldn't be better timing for reviving this incredible project mike
  9. Awesome concept, Ray Are you going to reverse the dash for RHD too ? mike
  10. We're all ears ... let's hear it mike
  11. Finally found my old Hot Rod mag... Rather disappointing to find only a black and white feature with so little detail. Sooo, where is it now? mike
  12. Great stuff ! Thanks guys mike
  13. Beautifully done sir. You've sure got an eye for realistic color. How did you do those battery cables? mike
  14. A couple of beauties there, Chuck. Where did you source the dually and 4x4 tires? mike
  15. Jake, check out posts 1, 32 and 50 in this thread. All the trucks in this series shared about 95% of the same parts, with various accessories added and subtracted over the run. Thus it has all the chassis and body parts of the Star Truk with the exception of grill, front bumper and chrome mags/accessories. It has the Boonie Boss wheels/tires and all the basic chassis and body parts from it except the grill, unique exhaust, driving lights and roll bar. mike
  16. Nice work ! mike
  17. Lots of truckers wear the hats and boots... I guess there are some similarities at the heart of it; they just ride different mounts I'll have to do some more looking. Sometimes the farm store toys are pretty close. mike
  18. I bought one once that had a '69 Grande roof grafted on... Nice work, Ulf ! mike
  19. Anyone aware of these in scale, along with other western accessories like saddles, etc? mike
  20. Both the D60 and D44 do show up on the original F100 option sheets with the same 3300 lb rating as the 9 inch. I've only seen three myself so I can understand the doubt. Just another option choice like a radio, dash pad delete or a 390. mike
  21. Yes, the D60's definitely were available with the five lug axles in the F100's, Chuck. I had a '67 F100 with a 352 4spd and D60 that I parted out a few years ago. I sold the diff to a gent restoring a Hurst Scrambler. Needed the extra beef to handle the 401 he was mounting upstream... ...besides, the hemi D60s had to come from somewhere ... mike
  22. That is incredible. Love to see a pic of the bottom side... If it's not undercoated, it'll probably be red oxide primer with some yellow overspray. mike
  23. Nice springs ! mike
