  1. The chrome on mine was very clean. I had a heck of a time getting the decal residue off after applying them. It scratches easily too. I've got a couple "buff" spots on the chrome where I pushed a bit too hard with a paper towel drying up decal stuff.
  2. Sorry for the late reply. The seats were done with an Xacto knife. I just made random slashes across everything, and "banana pealed" a couple spots to curl up the plastic and insert the cotton stuffing for effect. Thank you for the compliments guys.
  3. All done! Quite an enjoyable kit with no fit issues to speak of. The decals match the paint colors beautifully. The worst part of the kit is trying to keep that chrome lid clean. Especially while attaching decals etc. I also used the Tamiya PE set to go with the kit. The decals from Cartograph were very easily managed with only Micro Set being used.
  4. Cool! I'm geeked about the Wile E. Coyote being a huge fan of his.
  5. Cool build. Too bad you left out so many details.
  6. After a hard life in dad's trees, junior rescued the family farm truck. With a new set of wide whites, chrome rims, and a shiny new license plate (not to mention a lot of TLC for the engine), it's ready to hit the road. Sure the gas cap got lost and the wood bed rotted and had to be replaced with some pole-barn siding, but it's functional right?

It's Tamiya TS-26 white in the rattle can. No clear coat at all.

Hey Matt, yes it was molded in black. It is a clean kit.

There aren't any precut masks for the windows with this kit. I used Scotch tape and cut along the raised line on the windows.

Yes it is pure white. Thanks for the compliments guys.
  11. Nothing special, but I reworked an old build over a Friday night/Saturday. It used to be yellow with a black hood with a crummy paint job from when I got back in to building. It took a dip in the purple pond and I repainted it white and put the factory rims back on it. BEFORE NOW
  12. I'm not a fan of red, but that looks great!
  13. A fast box stock project to get me back in the swing of things after a 3 month hiatus while my basement was being finished. The decals weren't bad. The problem children were the red strips on the front spoiler, the mirrors, and around the rear fin ducts.
  14. This is the current issue Revell Germany kit.
  15. Not my greatest endeavour, but a decent shelf model. One decal hang up that I couldn't fix. One rolled over on itself and the glue would not release and allow me to correct it.
  16. Is this the show in Fairmont? The crew from Fargo was planning on going. I was going to go, but was unable. Thanks for posting the pics.
  17. All three are looking good!
  18. You don't have to mask for the white. The whole car is left white except the front nose cone, rear deck lid, spoiler, and rear bumper which are painted blue. The decals are printed in a fade pattern and cover 80% of the car. It will literally take you twice as long to put on the decals than it will to actually build the car.
  19. It's complete sans the door mirrors which are presently lost. They were on my workbench the night before. Either I've got invisible cats, or my kids did something with them. At some point I'll find them and put them on, but for now it's complete. Decal work was intense on this one as they weren't pre-cut to conform to the car. It was an enjoyable build with new challenges like cutting the clear styrene for the side windows. It's not a show winner, but a worth-while build of a race car I really love.
  20. Cool and well done Rob. I've never even heard of the flick and I watched a lot of bad sci-fi and horror flicks in my youth.
  21. Chassis and interior are done sans touch ups. A quick mock=up shows no initial fit issues between the chassis and body. The wheels aren't correct, but to get the wheels that would be are $40 for the set. Yikes!! Also, I can't thank Jim Drew enough for his assistance with this project. He's been a big help and inspiration with is own Badboy project. The greatest part of this hobby is the camaraderie and willingness of others to share their experiences and advice.
  22. Thanks 69 Goat. I appreciate it.
  23. I failed to mention that when I was posting my WIP on the #4 car. It took me a few minutes of comparing the decal diagram and the 1:1 picture I had to determine where the mask was going to go. I'm really liking what you're doing thus far with all of them. I can't wait to see them done. Unfortunately, I can't justify spending $40 for the correct wheels you and Jim have done. Keep up the good work!
  24. Interior's started and the engine bay is complete (all 4 pieces). Decals outnumbered engine parts. This entire kit is essentially a glorified snap kit. There would be much more potential if Revell had taken the Tamiya route of the kit. But seeing's 80% of what's visible would be covered by the bottom pan, I can understand why they did it.
  25. You are welcome Ismael. I'm glad I could be of some assistance.
