  1. My dad remembered that after the flood of 1997, they had never replaced my compressor and airbrush. When he remembered 2004 (I'd actually mentioned I was going to buy one again) he tooke me to Michaels and bought me a new compressor and airbrush. I was at McGiffin's Hobby shop the next day after work buying a 1969 Baldwin Motion Camaro.
  2. That's on the top of my cool factor list. GREAT build! Fantastic job on the t-tops.
  3. ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! DO NOT QUIT!!!! If you ENJOY what you do, and it brings you self=satisfaction, KEEP BUILDING. At least you're not rotting your mind before a television playing video games. I used to play baseball in the summer, but my parents ALWAYS supported me in my artistic drawing etc. as well as building models. The ONE complaint I got from my parents was when I was spray-painting downstairs in the workroom and the whole basement wreaked of paint fumes. Other than that, NOT A SINGLE COMPLAINT. In fact, my parents and relatives split the cost of an airbrush for me when I was 14 for Christmas one year. That put my building in high gear. DO WHAT YOU DO AND ENJOY! DO NOT STOP! YOUR MOM MAKES FUN OF IT BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND IT.
  4. Love it! I'm buying one!!! Decal Hell is a venture isn't it? LMAO I've built a couple that are in decal hell. Oddly enough, I love building them because they look great when you get them done.
  5. That is a fantastic and beautifully built ride. Well done.
  6. Looks super clean. GREAT build and excellent color choice.
  7. Three weeks away. Please stop in and join us if you are able.
  8. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMEN!!!
  9. I recenlty build the Revell/Germany kit. On a whole, it's a great kit and a snap to fabricate and open the trunk. Here's mine -
  10. Another favorite build of yours Dan! Didn't the movie version have Cobra style rims like the Revell kit or were they customs?
  11. Looks exactly like a Hot Wheels designer's challenge car I saw hanging in Wally World the other day.
  12. Super! You've brought art to life. Where's the sign for above the door?
  13. Nicely done.
  14. Ha! Now that is just too freakin' cool!
  15. Thank you for the very kind words guys. Coop - if you haven't built one of these Tamiya bikes, you must. They go together so effortlessly and the fit is so great.... well, I'd be broke right now from buying bike kits if I wasn't smart enough to know better! Zukiholic - The base was rather simple. I bought an 8" round wood plaque/base etc. at Michaels, painted it the same color blue as the bike, then I found some of Rossi's artwork on his home-page, blew it up to fit the plaque, printed on photo paper for the nice finish and white-glue to hold it down.
  16. Life's good. Just finished up my Valentino Rossi bike.
  17. This is one of my favorite builds of yours Dan. Too cool!
  18. Hey Will - I'll be more than happy to answer your questions. Here's my post-build work. I decided to make a display base for "The Doctor's" motorcycle.
  19. Just wrapped this one up. FANTASTIC kit on a whole. I highly recommend getting a Tamiya motorcycle kit if you haven't. The whole reason for building it? I LOVE THE PAINT SCHEME!!! Tomorrow I'm going to Michael's to pick up a plaque and design a base for it.
  20. I managed to swing a deal with a fellow builder for this guy!
  21. Crazy good work.
  22. I'm not a fan of red, but this makes me change my mind. Nicely done.
  23. FANTASTIC looking ride. The paint is spot-on!
  24. The decals are a little over 1/2 done. I'm going to let these set up overnight before tackling the other side.
