I'm with ya on that, I think a lot of the music was written and the guys didn't really fully understand cars. They did to some extent but I think they exaggerated a little in their music... with that being said the band name is The Beach Boys and they sang their hearts out about surfing and the life style there of and none of the band members ever surfed!!!!! I learned that watching a documentary that Brian Wilson did about a year ago!! So yeah the 140 in the top end floored could of been a bit stretched and so on.....

Body is cut sanded and ready for filler..... I need to add filler on the sides to level it out and filler on the top behind the roll bar to add a curve to the top and round it out a bit more...... Cant see them to well in the last photo, but I added the clamps or whatever they are around the front bar/axle mount like the real rail has!!!!!

Very kool, I'm building a fuel hauler with that same truck cab.... always been an Earnhardt fan, love the build!!!!!

I have been a huge fan of his Dad, Earnhardt Sr. after he passed I kind of watched it... Have been a fan of Jr. as well as Kenseth!!!! But now this year and this whole segment racing idea???? I'm done watching it!!! this segment idea has totally taken the steam out of the race and is so lack luster that I don't even care for it anymore! Ill be watching my short track modified and sprint racing now, and even watch drag racing more often now!!!!! Not much of a fan of the corporate controlled NASCAR anymore!!!!!

Got a pair of big block valve covers on the way and will be re working them. Along with that I've been doing some more body work on the tins.. Been sanding and getting ready for putty!!!!

Right, they had the easier luxury of going in the back pulling the mold and running it on short order..... not to much anymore!!!!!

Super glue will work no problem!!!!!!! I'm building a salt flat car outta that body right now.....

I remember years ago at CARS in Miniature car club Christmas party. Bill Lastovich was there and one of the guys were looking for a part to a long out dated kit and they just weren't around. Bill went back and told the powers that be to pull the mold out of the cobwebs and run a couple shots through it. He came back to the next months meeting and handed the guy looking for the part, the tree that part was on.... But that was almost 20 years ago now....

I've used the resin kits and such from Micro Mark with good results!!!

Sorry to hear, I just got home from a fellow modelers service tonight!!!! Gone way to soon!!!

I'll post up some new pics of what I have in the next day or so. I have the engine side panels cut back the way the real car is..... Brad and I talked by pm, it may come down to my asking a caster to cast this and offer it along with Brad's decals so a better looking Milner kit can be offered!! See what happens..... I saw my friend that is letting me borrow his Milner kit and he told me if we do this he'd be interested in a body and decal set!!! Lol ?

Model parts and if I remember hearing from George they may be able to do small real car parts. Don't hold me to that but I think they can......
