  1. I wonder if Round 2 would consider selling decals from some of their newer releases? The updated, expanded decal sheets of their latest offerings would be welcome by many of us older modelers for restoring / rehabbing older builds. Just a thought.
  2. Modelhaus already sells the '72 grille, and it's chromed too. A.J.
  3. Just remember that the JF cab is based off the Ford F100, and is not the medium/heavy duty 600 series. I've started widening a the front fenders from an AMT F100 and will cut off the resin ones and replace them with the widened plastic fender clip. Then it drops right on the L series chassis.
  4. Back during the '70's "energy crisis", AMT tried to the two part tires as the used a different plastic that the one piece vinyl tires. Some of the car kits also had plastic tires instead of vinyl. (FYI- pre-energy crisis vinyl tires are the ones that melt the styrene wheels if you didn't pant the contact surface). If you have any of the old kits, you'll find that the plastic on some was "milky" while others would have the white plastic turn turn tan or yellow. Both the AMT and Revell plastics were also more brittle then they are today. Those were interesting times for modelers. A.J.
  5. My mistake in interpretting it as a 60 Series and not a 1960. Old age syndrome. A.J.
  6. You may want to check the Modelhaus wheels and tires from their Chevrolet 60 Series conversion kit: http://www.modelhaus.com/index.php?page=5&c=0&y=0&pt=33&part=1&Submit=Search. A.J.
  7. Not Dan, but his trailer a a shorty based on using just half of the IMC / Testors / Lindberg van trailer. I actually used half of a van kit to build a Dodge L700 delivery truck. A.J.
  8. Here's the link to the unplated version T-802: http://www.modelhaus.com/index.php?c=0&p=68878. Right below this set, is a plated version. A.J.
  9. Looks great. All it needs is a set of the exterior rear view mirrors fom Modelhaus. A.J.
  10. The ones that I have always hoped that would be re-released wee the two S-series trucks. A.J.
  11. The Ferguson tractor is another one that I never thought would be kitted either.
  12. Fantastic build. Very well done. A.J.
  13. RMR (race motor replicas) still offers Dodge C-series cabs that would be a drop-on for the LNT kit. Dodge built these heavy duty C-series trucks from 1963 until 1975. Ron's web site is here: http://www.rmrmodels.com/Products.html A.J.
  14. Congratulations to our Tim Ahlborn on being included with nearly a full page of text plus additional pictures of him, his models, and his plant dirama in the special book Peterbilt 75 Years of Class published by Peterbilt. Bravo Tim! A.J.
  15. Nicely done, as usual. A.J.
  16. Neat little tow truck. A.J.
  17. The hood on the GMC also has "GMC" molded into it. The only problem is that it is so lightly molded that it gets burried in the paint unless you mask the letters off.
  18. I guess if I didn't already have around 10 of these kits already I would be more excited. The nice thing is that this kits can be combined with the Modelhaus 1957 and 1958 Ford cabs which drop right on. A.J.
  19. Awesome build and detail. A.J.
