Went to Hobby Lobby and got some clear coat, Tamiya white primer (both 40% off) and a can of clearance enamal spray paint. Then went to Hobbytown USA and got some BMF, 2 packs of chrome rotors, a mixing jar and some Tamiya clear yellow paint all for 30% off and got the new Model Cars mag and Fine Scale Modeler for 15% off. Then stopped at Michaels and picked up a ACR Viper kit and another can of clear coat and used a 50% coupon for both. Maybe spent 50.00 total.

Went shopping today and took the kiddo to have his picture taken with Santa. Not much done building wise, i did get the Viper stripped and ready for new paint and also tossed a 94 s10 in the DOT 3 to soak while we were gone. Got most of the paint stripped with the exception of the inside of the bed.

Got an Egg plane to decal, a 70 Chevelle to assemble, a Mustang Mach III to wire and make the wheels work for it, a GTO to build the engine and a racing bike to detail paint the parts before i can assemble. How much will get done?? lol Guess i will have to wait and see. After all its up to the 2yr old if he lets me work on anything today. Oh yeah and a Viper GTS to finish stripping the paint off of.

I also look forward to all of these builds! Beautiful cars! Where did you get them at?

I got my replacement 57 Chevy today. The one on the right was the first one i got last week, it was said to only have the engine block put together and the rest was still on the trees. Only the chrome was on the trees still and i was missing parts. The one on the left i bought right after i opened the one on the right. Paid 42.90 for it and its still bagged, only .90 cents more than the first one. lol Untitled by jrherald420, on Flickr

Yeah depending on the day i just might get pissed and ask for a manager. Most of the time they tell me " i can only do it just this once". Whats funny is there is not age restriction on model kits, spray paint and blades yes but not on kits. Sweet man, thanks!

Got these gems from Ebay......... $_57 by jrherald420, on Flickr $(KGrHqYOKpMFJI(LnVYIBSZcrSv)sQ~~60_57 by jrherald420, on Flickr The 57 Chevy's auction said that it only had the engine partly assembled and that was it, all parts were on the trees still..........welllllllllllllll the front and rear windows are broken, the engine, chassis, dash and seats have all been glued together and then ripped apart breaking half of the parts. The glue used to put the fog and headlights in ate the chrome off the bumpers. Only half the chrome parts are left on the trees, the rest had been ripped off and were floating around the box. Someone started to cut a hole in the stock hood.......just like the the spare hood that comes in the kit for the blower to stick through...............its now just a parts car. Only paid 26.00+ shipping for it and seller refunded 16.00 back so i got it for 10 bucks. The Lamborghini Jota showed up with all the parts on the trees and still bagged..........just the windshield posts are snapped in half and the roof is bent. Glad i only paid 1.00 for it! lol What a bummer day on Ebay, I did get lucky and find another 57 Chevy kit that was just listed for 39.99 OBO, i offered 30.00 for it and they took it! This one is still sealed, hope i have better luck with it than this one......

Im sure he would enjoy looking at a model you built for him just as much as if he had built it himself. I would make it a goal to build him several a year to help lift his moral a little.

For you guys only getting 2 models out of a sheet, your doing it wrong!! Ive got 4 cars done out of less than half a sheet. What excess i cut off i put back on the sheet and reuse. I have never had a problem with touching it and it not sticking either. Cant say much about the excess glue, ive only had it happen once and i just used some masking tape to pull it off without any problems. I find BMF rather easy to use once you learn how to apply it! Ive got my time down to about 30 mins for all windows and wheel trim. -
Hello! Where at in KY are you from? I just moved from Louisville about 6 months ago to Tn.
