  9. Printed off 2 more 50% off coupons for Michaels And got a new Xacto knife and some more clear coat. Then went back to the Hobby town USA store closing sale and got 3 cans of paint for the 1/12 scale 57 Hardtop kit im waiting to show up along with some thinner and little applicators for paint or glue, everything was 25% off. Then went to Hobby Lobby and picked up another Flex-a-file sanding set and a Tamiya weathering kit, both for 40% off. I can sadly say that im done stocking up on everything but PE Seat belt buckles and clear coat for awhile! lol Monday i have another 9 model kits showing up.........i have went from 17 unbuilt to 50+ in less than 2 weeks!! 10. She is! I showed her the green color and she right away asked me to build her another model and use that color (its almost dead on to the color of her new car). Then she remembered i bought a 70 chevelle SS kit last week and said she wanted it built that color for her office. Its her dream muscle car.
  11. Was just checking out the deals at the local Going out of business sale at our Hobbytown USA (the one where AustinT works) when my wife called me. I was not going to tell her i was there so she wouldnt think i was out spending money but then she asked.......and told me to buy 100.00 worth of supplies!!! In her words "How many times would you have to go to Hobby Lobby to save that much buying one thing at a time?". So i did!! Untitled by jrherald420, on Flickr
  12. Thanks guys. I really liked the small scale (didnt think i would like it at all). Heck ive all ready bought 3 more 69 mustangs, a rally ford focus, a 69 Chevelle and a 69 Torino!! lol Im all over the place with my scale building, 1/24, 1/25, 1/20, 1/16 and im expecting some 1/12 scale stuff next week. Send it to me!! lol Ill finish it for ya!
  13. Thanks! It was really fun.
  14. No, bring it to the meeting. Id like to see it.
  15. Picked this up at the model show last week for a whopping 5.00 because the tires melted through the drivers side of the body. Felt bad letting it sit in the bag and let the tires destroy the body more so i opened it and built her! Painted it to match the 1970 Boss i won 2nd in class with. Had to repair the drivers side best i could, polish the out of the badly scratched glass, made a shifter for it and then BMF the window trim. Pretty fun little build!! I liked it so much i now have 2 more coming to me in the mail and maybe a 69 Chevelle and a 69 Torino. Here's some crappy cell phone pictures for all to enjoy!! 17. That color almost looks like Gulf Blue. Very nice!
  18. Stunning!!!
  19. I almost bought that Corvette Grand Sport on Sunday. How does it look?
  20. No Austin is right. I have several boxes that open the same way. I bought that same kit several years ago and it was the same way as Austins is. Got a Mustang Mach III kit right now that is also the same way.
  21. LOL ^^^ I just won a 1/12 57 Chevy on Ebay. Been wanting one for some time now. I keep saying i dont have the room for the bigger stuff..........yet i keep buying it anyways! Trying to figure out how to tell the wife now..............
  22. What i found the most gratifying today (keep in mind this was my first ever show) was not winning a 1st and 2nd medal, but seeing how many people took pictures of my builds. Dont get me wrong it was sweet to win but for some reason seing that made me feel so much better! Meeting and talking to so many fellow modelers made for a great day. Buying cheap kits that ive wanted for years was nice too! lol I also learned what i need to work on to step up my building skills.
  23. Austin was nice enough to give it to me after telling him i had been wanting to try my hand at building one. Great guy! It was a good price and it will always be a conversation starter. Still a cool kit.
  24. Just did my first one today. As long as i have something new to show ill go to every one i can afford to!
  25. Time for a big block chevy swap with a huge blower on top of it.....no need for a hood then!
