  1. Bravo!!!!
  2. Gotta love a Mustang!!!! Well most years.......lol
  3. Thanks guys! Will be buying this one again to build it as the 1970 Mach 1. Plan on doing fuel and brake lines and adding Drum brakes on the next one.
  4. Thank you! I spent about 3 weeks on and off building it. About a week for the engine, and a week and a half on the body.
  5. I am now burned out on black interiors for awhile. lol
  6. This is my best build to date. Still have a lot to work on and improve in my building. Color is Model Master Citrus Yellow Metallic, a $2.22 can of clearance paint from Hobby Lobby that my wife found and bought. I did BMF on the hood and around all the windows, that's a first for me. Also added spark plug wires, PE wire looms, a coil, battery wires and PE terminals, fuel line going from pump to carb, PVC line from breather to intake and did BMF on the air cleaner lid. Also did PE keys in the ignition with a Ford key chain, PE seat belts, window cranks and embossing powder for the carpet. Had trouble getting the 2 pc hood decal to sit flat. This build started off as a white paint job but had a lot of junk in the paint and after sanding i just didn't have enough paint left to do a second good coat. Here's some crappy pictures. Ill take better ones tonight. 7. Yup, ya got me!!
  8. And the battery. Nice job on the paint.
  9. I've found that when i wash a grill with a lot of small openings a tooth pick will rub off the acrylic/rubbing alcohol mix really good after its dry. Might try that.
  10. They forgot to paint the hood, id take it back!!
  11. Wow...300 kits and that was just doubles!!!!! Dang. I've got 18 taking up space and i feel bad with that many unbuilt kits!!!
  12. That's cool. That's a lot of good karma you had built up there!! Sweet score and great way to start the day.
  13. Some one just showed up and gave you all those kits???
  14. Weather cleared up so i was able to paint the body for my 70 Boss 302 and start the next build by painting the body for a 2010 Shelby GT500. Wife needed the computer so no building today, maybe tonight ill get a chance. IMAG0926 by jrherald420, on Flickr
  15. I stick to muscle cars / gt type race cars but i love seeing WW2 tanks done up and would love to try some. I've also wanted to do a old sailing ship with the huge sails and rigging everywhere.
  16. Easy fix......go get them back out and play!!!!
  17. Got a 2010 Shelby GT500 1/24 scale and 2 cans of paint on clearance at the Hobby Lobby.
  18. Well i'm down here for today and tomorrow. I've already been to the Hobby Lobby and Hobby Town USA today. Looking at apartments is boring.
  19. Exactly what I was thinking I would do when I first saw the pictures. Nice work!
  20. Nice, im building the 70 Boss 302 right now. It was a hard choice at first on what one to build first. Nice work!
  21. Dang, my fingers are locking up and my eyes are hurting just looking at that!!! lol
  22. If i find that it was a fun kit to build and i have ideas in my head for different builds then yeah ill build a couple. One recent build has spawned about 4-5 more future builds, the 1/12 scale Shelby GT500, i built the first one box stock for fun, now i have another one that i will be lowering, adding brake lines, wiring harnesses, ect and i've got 3+ people on the local Mustang forum that want me to build them a replica of their own GT500.
  23. Lots of detail work ahead!! I like it. I've still got a F189 and F2001 Ferrari i need to get building. Keep it up!!
