  1. LOL My first car was a red 84 SE. Rebuild the engine for a whopping 84.00 including the inspection from the machine shop!!
  2. I avoid stripping paint off because it seems like when i decide to do it it shows through the sides of the window. Not good when the car is a dark color then you see white plastic all around the edges of the windows.
  3. Welcome from Louisville,KY
  4. Looks great but i hate to think that Mac Tools would still be around in the future with all the trash tools they sell. lol How are you planning on doing window glass now that the dash is in it?
  5. Great looking start. A real wooden bed would look sweet in there.
  6. I've been wanting one for awhile now. Be sure to start a build thread on it!!
  7. That's good to hear. I don't understand why some owners of hobby shops are not even fans of what they sell.
  8. Agreed, that's the only thing i would change about it. I would add some wooden roof beams for that extra level of coolness!!
  9. Wow, just read all the post and this build is sweet! Cant wait to see more!
  10. So anybody else out there that lives close that might be able to give more insight??
  11. I want to see that engine when its done!!!
  12. Use clear window glue for the windows, Elmers will work in a pinch and both wash off with water.
  13. Do i see a paper with the late Carroll Shelby's signature on it? What does it say?
  14. Great work!! At first i thought the harness looked pretty bad but with it all hooked up and the engine sitting in the bay its a great addition! And again great work!! What color did you use for the valve covers?
  15. The hobby town here in Louisville is the most anti-hobby--hobby shop i've ever seen. I avoid most Hobby Towns like its the plague.
  16. Ill keep that in mind, don't need a whole lot of help finding somewhere to live. I've found a few houses for rent in our price range just on the internet. I just don't want to live in a sketchy part of town with my family.
  17. Oh yeah i'm not going to quit building models anytime soon. Glad to hear there is a local club down there. I see that there is a Hobby Lobby there in Murfreesboro , how is it? Does the model section stay well stocked?
  18. My wife's company has expanded into the Tennessee market and her new office will be in Smyrna Tn. Just wondering if some Tn residents can give me a heads up on good areas to live. We need to stay in that area close to her office. It's going to be my wife and I along with our 18 month old son. Are there any toddler friendly parks there? Any info will be helpful, thanks in advance.
  19. Speaking from first hand experiences, there's not enough rust holes!!!! lol Great job on this one!!
  20. Had a good trade with Elliot949 last week. Had a great trade with Kaleb, thanks!
  21. Just saw the "Gone fishing" one go for 15.00 and 10.00 shipping on Ebay Saturday morning.
  22. I about spit a mouth full of Sprite all over the computer!
  23. Yeah the decals give you a red decal to go in there, guess they thought it was a brake light. lol I taped it off on mine and painted it Semi gloss black.
  24. Thank you for pointing that out!! lol I had all the stuff out to do it and was side tracked. When i sat back down i forgot what i was doing and ended up just putting all the stuff away!! Ill post some updated "fixed" pictures later tonight.
  25. Thanks, I mixed that color by hand using Gold, silver and a touch of gunmetal and hand painted it with a brush, no masking. I was following what another member did with there build of this kit. It really sets the undercarriage off.
