  1. Looking to build the 1/16th AMT 55 Nomad for my wife (she loves wagons). Plan on using Scalefinishes glacier blue over skyline blue. Thinking about using a TDR small block chevy engine and headers. Has anyone built this model or used the TDR products, and if so any opinions or recommendations? Also, are there any other 1/16th scale small block chevy engines that are better than the one in the AMT kit that could be used instead of using the TDR engine?
  2. Incredibly nice looking Chevelle, fantastic job on the interior!!

  6. John I'm glad I got to see this car in person, you did a phenomenal job on it, your skills are over the top. Congratulations on well deserved wins with all of your models.
  7. Very nice looking model, I have always been a big fan of how that Toyota looks, it has great lines for a race car. Great job!!
  8. Had a great time yesterday, just an incredible show of talent!! I didn't win anything, except in the raffles, but with the quality of work on the tables I didn't deserve to win!! Time to step up my quality! As always the contest was well run and very well judged. Great job by the Cactus Car Modelers.
  9. Ray, I feel your pain, my 29 year old son has type 1 and we've spent more than our share of ER and ICU hospital time with him. Will say a prayer for your daughter and family.
  10. I used Krylon on my last build, decanted a red and a blue and shot them through my badger airbrush. They both came out great without thinning, cleaned the airbrush up with lacquer thinner. I think what Chip was talking about was he used the "straw" that comes with WD-40 to attach to the spray can.

    Ferrari 458

Finished this about a month ago, it's the Revell of Germany Ferrari 458 Italia painted Testors gunmetal grey on the exterior and Tamiya leather on the interior. Used Crazy Modelers photo etch on the exterior and engine bay. The model is much cleaner than the photos show, unfortunately it's next to impossible to take photos outside here without the wind blowing! http://s1260.photobucket.com/user/majesticelectric/slideshow/Photobucket%20Desktop%20-%20Kathes%20MacBook%20Air

  25. Mark you are one of several people on the forum who are able to make individual pieces models in and of themselves. That is some incredible scratch building!!
