  1. I have to agree... Anyone heard of Aston Martin? Just look at the previous DBS/DB9s... Beautiful, stunning cars, with powerful engines, beautiful interiors etc, yet without stupid, busy, "aero-dynamic" details. Cliff
  2. More pics... Don't know about you guys but... What's the G-O with the rear tail-light/fascia? Seriously ugly...
  3. There's a difference between just "similarities" & necessities. All automobiles need wheels, doors ( of some sort ), an engine, again of some sort/variety, etc, making these things "necessities". Similarities are a different kettle of fish. Have you ever seen a Ferrari look vaguely "similar" to a Mustang? Or a Lamborghini look "similar" to a Dodge Challenger? Once you understand the difference between the 2, similarities & necessities, your argument that all cars are " similar" is quite incorrect. It's about design, creativity, indivualism of brands etc.... & not wanting to "look" like every other car, or a particular car, out there today. In this instance GM's new 2014 Corvette doesn't appear to have ANY individualism/creativity etc... It simply looks like a parts pack, working man's Ferrari Berlinetta cross Viper cross GTR35....
  4. Noticed the similarities with the Viper too but didn't have a good comparison pic, like above, so thanks. Thought it might cause a riot between us Mopar guys & the Chevy guys... Lol! :-)
  5. Anybody seen the new 2014 Corvette yet? Let the critiquing begin.... And just for comparisons sake... The real 2012 Ferrari Berlinetta... There's no denying where GM has gotten their styling cues from, along with Camaro-ish tail-lights, but like they say... Copying is the highest form of flattery... Cliff
  6. Love this car! Great, simple & easy kit to build. Hope they re-release them because I'd love another 2-3 kits. Did mine like this... With a little muscle car homeage... Cheers Cliffo
  7. Thankyou Svendsen :-) Glad you like it . Cheers Cliff So do I Joe, so do I... Cheers mate, Cliff
  8. Joe, the irony of it all just devastates me... It just all still seem's so surreal... It's nearly 3wks since he passed away & I just can't stop thinking about him not being here anymore... It's all just so cruel. In time, yes, maybe the pain will ease... I have my memories but I'd rather have him back... Thankyou so much for your inspiration & your story. It touched me enough to build these cars for my bro, I'd only wished he got to see them. Cheers Cliff
  9. This guy is INSANE!! He's got more talent in his thumb than I do after 30 odd yrs of building models! Unreal detail! Cliff
  10. Thanks for all the info' Matt! Didn't realize the Daytona was an italeri kit. Either way I'll probably be getting the Fujimi kit to match the Spyder kit I have. Beautiful builds mate. Your attention to detail speaks for itself. Well worth ALL the effort you put in :-) Cheers Cliff
  11. Thankyou Roy :-) I tend to agree with you... He would've immensely... My only wish was that he got to see them... Cheers Cliff
  12. Love ya work Matt! Cheers Cliff
  13. Thankyou Shelby & I'm sorry for you loss also. Hope you get your tribute done soon too :-) Cheers Cliff
  14. & I am trully grateful for your kind words & understanding R'noma :-) I'm also very sorry to hear about your loss. Hearts may break from the pain but in time it is repaired... But the scars remain.... Cheers Cliff
  15. Well Tomo you should be extremely proud of yourself! Some very good builds mate, especially after only 12mnths in the hobby?! I'm officially impressed :-) Of course you do know once you've got the bug NO amount of bug spray will kill it! ;-) Lol! I'm a Mopar lover so I'm mightly fond of that Superbird & would love to see you build it's sister, the Daytona Charger ;-) Now lets see more :-) Oh yeh... Welcome to the forum mate :-) Cheers Cliffo
  16. Matt, I don't know where you find the time to do all this great work you do?! Your builds are ALWAYS cleanly built, well detailed & executed very sharply! Great work mate.. Seriously! Your subjects/builds always gain my interest because I have most of these kits ( waiting for me to pull my finger out!! ). My only hope to finish more than 2-3 a year is early retirement?! Besides Mopars, I only like the exotics/Supercars & take keen interest in your WIPs because of the detailing & observations you make while building them, therefore helping the rest of us slow-hands out. Thanks mate, really appreciate that too! I have a couple of questions... I have the 599GTO & the Fujimi Daytona ( 365 ) Spyder & I'm wondering whether the 365 coupe is worth shelling out for?? On another note, you don't happen to have the Fujimi 250 GTO ( road car ) do you? I'm looking at getting that too & wondering whether to get it or wait for the, rumored, ROG 250 GTO?? Any help would be grateful. Cheers Cliff
  17. Harry, how about doing a feature on Cesar & his builds? I'm sure I wouldn't be the only member to be very interested in such a feature. Cesar is such a modest guy & so very nice, I think he well deserves a feature in the mag? Thanks Cliff
  18. Beautiful RR, SS!! So clean... Gorgeous! Love it! Cheers Cliff
  19. Thankyou W-Machine. Much appreciated mate :-) Cheers Cliff
  20. Very, very impressive Charger, mate! Well done! Love that shine! Cheers Cliff
  21. Impressive roster Matt! They're all very, very clean & well built! You should be very proud to have them on the shelf, I know I would. :-) Cheers Cliff PS: Did you scratch build the hinges for the DBS bonnet or are they purchased items? If so, where did you get them Matt?
  22. Thankyou so much guys. I really appreciate your kind & supportive words. Cheers Cliff
  23. Well I'm certainly in for at least 2, as long as they're not $25 million a pop! Lol! Cheers
  24. I have been reliably informed the teaser shot on their Facebook page was/is a ruse. Of the 2 Supercars they're kitting for this year neither will be the J or Spyder ( Lamborghini ) ;-) Cheers
  25. Thankyou guys. I trully appreciate your kind words & support. Means a lot. Thankyou. Cliff
