  1. Air Brush... Hands down. You have more control, over pressure, finesse, paint/thinner mix etc. Having an A/B in this hobby is a MUST. Whether it's a cheap one or expensive one, you get what you pay for. Cheers Cliff
  2. Anyone seen/heard the U-Tube video Ferrari has recently posted, concerning La Ferrari? Man the noise it make's.... I think this baby's a Veyron killer.... ;-) Cliffo
  3. This fully documented '71 has been on the books of RK motors of Charlotte, for a while now.. Asking price... Just shy of $2 million...
  4. So ah... Do you have any plans to sell 1 of those '70 MPC 'Cuda's?? I have enough pennies for 1 of those ;-);-);-).... :-) After i win the lottery ( before Saturday hopefully ) i'll let you go for a ride in my newly purchased, very first, Hemi Cuda! :-) Cheers Cliff
  5. Excellent 599 Jano'!! Good move replacing the kit wheels with the hobby design set! Absolutely slick, wet & smooth paint job! Cheers Cliff
  6. Muito bom Uelder!! Beautiful finish... Inside & out!! Saude Cliff
  7. I've built this kit Mike & it's true about the doors, at least 1 of them might be slightly "warped", but, with a little muscle, can be bent into it's proper alignment. I'd get 'em out now & test fit them before any painting. The rest of tge kit is really sweet ( bar the tyres being too thick & the wheels being too small - typical Revell fare ) Cheers & good luck, Cliffo
  8. 1970 Dodge Charger ( full detail ) Aston Martin 1-77 Audi RS6 Avante ( wagon ) Cliff
  9. It's an amazing bit of work, there's no doubt about that, but it's a fairly large scale & things/parts etc can be made to look very cool/better as the scale gets bigger... NOT to take anything away from this guy's eye for detail or his incredible "patina" skills :-) Fantastic all 'round & way cool. Cliff
  10. 4thLord... Mate i actually prefer the pics of the DBS on your desk, rather than the photoshopped versions. They're more realistic to being a model than not being a model, if you know what i mean? Job well done anyway :-) Cheers Cliff
  11. Ditto! Sportandmiah brings up an interesting point though.... The door handle on the drivers side can be seen quite clearly but on the passenger side it seem's to have "disappeared"?? Cheers Cliff
  12. Once again Matt... Well done mate! You just keep pumping out good, clean builds! Don't know where you find the time? Lol! Not too keen on that blue but it sure came out real nice :-) Cheers Cliff
  13. It's called "Murphys Law".... ;-)
  14. Once again... Great work Jonathan! Loving that blue mate! I note the problems you mention about never failing to "burr" through, when polishing following a wet sand. Maybe the grit of the sanding cloth might be too harsh, especially when following it up with a harsh polishing compound? As the Asperta stands now, to get an even better shine, try a very smooth & light wet sand with 4 or maybe even 6000 grit, just enough to take out & smooth down any orange peel. Follow this up with another 3-4 light to medium clear coats. Let gas out fully then wet sand again with 4-6000 grit. If you're happy with the final sand then start the polishing, but do it section by section & go slow mate.... The faster you go the more friction/heat gets to the paint... This causing "burring" ;-) Hope this might help you out mate. Cheers Cliffo ps: stop building so quick!! I can't keep up with your builds! Lol!
  15. Great job Jano! Look forward to your GTO build too! Cliff
  16. Way to go Matt! Always look forward to your builds mate! & yeh you can def' see that it's not black, on the 250, because you can notice the overspray inside the body ;-) Cheers Cliff
  17. Think you're onto something with that link... I just clicked on it & it sent me to "Install Messenger for Facebook" & hundreds of random peoples statuses! Nothing to do with Round 2's F/Book page.
  18. Got the F12 on the way in the mail, Matt. Looking forward to how it goe's together? How are the wheels, do they seem/look accurate? I've noticed the seats are actually molded to the interior bucket, disappointing about that! Found this pic on the 'net, don't know if it's the same blue hue as your's but it does look good... Anyway keep up the great work mate! Cheers Cliff
  19. I think there's a difference between having a hobby & becoming a hoarder... I think the guys who've got more than several lifetimes worth of kits are actually hoarders & really will never be able to build them all, particularly if they have several ( 10-15 ) of the same kit. If you have more than, let's say a couple dozen kits, then you've become a hoarder... As far as visiting this site & others, spending more time on them, then actually building, you need to set a time limit. Say 2 hours tops. Look at the stuff that give's you ideas etc & aids your skill, then get to the bench.... No point in hoarding all those kits if you're not spending time building at least 1 of them ;-) Lol Cheers Cliff
  20. So guess what the very 1st ( 0001) 2014 'Vette sold for @ Barrett Jackson?? $1.1 Million... Worth it??
  21. You know what get's me about this? The selfish & stupid attitude of these cars owners. Surely they've been offered some seriously good money for them, probably more than a couple of dozen times, over the time periods these cars have been sitting on their property, rotting/rusting away! Why not sell, make a few dollars, even BIG dollars, let them be restored by people who LOVE & WANT these pieces of automotive history, if they're not wanting / willing to? Just a really dumb, selfish & non beneficial financial attitude to have. Absolutely dumb :-( Cliff
  22. Yeh I missed an opportunity last year, on the Cedric, :-( .... But if any of them pop up again... Good luck bidding against me ;-) Cheers Cliff
  23. Only show, back in 2005, that I ever entered... Got Best Paint with this Charger (fingernail polish) Cheers Cliff
  24. Anybody know where I can get either the Trans Am or Falcon kit or both?? Cheers Cliff
