  1. Thanks everyone, really appreciate it! Circaboy - the colour is "Rover Pageant Mid Blue" - might be hard to obtain over there, I don't know!
  2. Cheers you two, really means a lot!
  3. Thanks a lot guys! The next one Juan.. I'm thinking Castrol. It'll be a looong time though, because Lara is my new priority heheh.
  4. Thanks everyone, really means a lot! This is it with my Calsonic R32. That one means a lot to me because it's the first model I properly finished. So it's kinda like my first and latest! Always loved the Calsonic cars. Would love to rebuild it and do it better. Cheers!
  5. Cheers lads, it means a lot!
  6. Hi everyone! Since buying a car I haven't had much time for models so this took far longer than expected. But overall, I'm incredibly happy with the result of this. My first build finished in the Gran Turismo community build. Built 100% box stock. Thanks for looking, all comments are muchly appreciated!
  7. Great work guys! Rubbish pics as I was in a hurry but I finally finished this one! Under glass tomorrow with good pics. Cheers!
  8. That's a lovely looking RX7. Couple test decals, windows and a rough mockup. Cheers!
  9. Cheers, aye it's coming along great. Mainly just bodywork left!
  10. No problem! Little update on the R34. Also this arrived today, thanks muchly Juan!
  11. The blue is a colour called "Pageant Mid Blue" for a Rover.
  12. Cheers guys! That's from a rattle can. Love that beemer!
  13. Great work in here everyone! FINALLY got a basecoat on this. Will be sanded tonight and sprayed again tomorrow. Took it home from the school to put it on the body for some pics for ya... Cheers!
  14. Haha yup, I named my Golf after her! She's basically my entire childhood.
  15. Sweet work going on here guys. Hope you're doing well Juan! I got some paint laid down on that Calsonic yesterday, just a base coat though. It's gonna be a lot longer than planned, between Lara and school exams, getting a minute is tough. Once the body is finished the paint stage though I've no rush! I'll get an update soon. Can't wait to see that R34 Juan, it's from around the same year as my Calsonic I think. Cheers!
  16. Went over the bumpers on the car again, gave it a quick wax and am going to start doing new mounts for the back bumper. The animals came over for some photos..
  17. Cheers Gregg but I'll probably just look into getting one of them cassette adapters. There's no radio in it at the minute so I don't need to worry about preserving it! Thanks Oscar and John Tom - To be honest, the rest of the car simply doesn't need a respray, it's a bit unnecessary - plus budget constraints. The boot is the only thing that really needs one as it's the wrong colour, and I'm buying a new door anyway. And yeah, the Scimitar is a lovely car - rwd V6, lovely note off it. I live a little in the country, far enough from the town not to be in it but close enough not to have to drive a distance to go anywhere. It's really handy!
  18. Got some Autoglym bumper restore and wheel cleaner stuffs on her today just to give it ago. I think the bumper stuff worked a treat, wheel stuff didn't come out too bad either. Before: After: Before: After: Really I should be focusing on the mechanical stuff... oh well! I got a quote on a respray of the new boot to Tornado Red. He estimated around 80 to 100 quid depending on the condition of the boot (and it's pretty good). Is this a fair price do you think? I'm not sure. Cheers!
  19. Thanks Ian! Juan, those Supras.. Just wow.
  20. It's a 1972 Reliant Scimitar GTE. It's my da's project that he'll get round to once we've the garage built. And yeah I'm sure about the cassette deck - you can get special tapes that have a lead coming out and your iPod or whathaveyou plugs in to it. My friend has one for his. It's a 1.8, it's an 8V GTI.
  21. What, do a botch job and charge more than it's worth? Kidding!
  22. Wow everyone, thanks for all the lovely comments about Lara! (After Lara Croft. Don't judge me.) As far as wheels go, I'm planning on this one: Apart from that, no, I don't plan on any modifications to it. Sure maybe better brakes, but looks wise and all that, no. Got one of my good mates round today and we sorted taking off the metal water pump, as much as I'd love to swear to describe the experience, it was bloody difficult. He knows a lot about cars and the mechanics behind them, but wow the hoses in that car were not fond of moving! New metal pipe is in the post, shall be putting it in as soon as. Then once that's done, that's pretty much the only mechanical thing on it that needs done! Also, instead of getting a fancy radio for it, I'm gonna see if my dad has any 80s cassette players lying around, which I think he does. More period correct, plus I can then go about getting me some sweet tapes, Zeppelin and Sabbath and Blondie and Rod Stewart and all sorts going on, woo! Thanks again everyone, the response is bloody overwhelming to say the least! This is how the car sits now, in front of the garage. Back bumper is off, need to make new mounts for it. I'm gonna keep these bumpers on it, but I'm going to buy a set of the correct ones so that anytime I go to sell it or if the mood takes me, I can put them on. Keeps 'em in better shape too. Thanks again everyone!!
  23. That's a fun idea, I like the challenge in that! Might have to give it a go myself Excellent build.
