  1. So, today I bought Revell's Dodge Viper kit. Reissue. And I looked at the instructions, and a bit of a glaring fault shone out at me. This is the Viper GTS kit. So why is there an SRT-10 there on the bottom pic? Odd. Any more weird errors like this any of you have witnessed over the years? Pics if possible!
  2. I've started this kit at the exact same time.. It's bloody horrible but I'm keeping it mostly box stock and gonna try to purdy it up a little. Good luck with this!
  3. Thanks a lot everyone, really appreciate it Here's to 2014!
  4. The Golfs better not be like the laughable mess they made of my beloved Mk.2
  5. That is BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH awesome. Love it.
  6. It's not quite the same kit. I've built both - there's no 426 Hemi in the RoG one, and the decals are different. It does have the optional vented bonnet, though. There's no drag slicks either.
  7. Thanks for the extremely kind words everyone, much appreciated!
  8. Cheers! Doesn't take a millionaire to get a Skyline, surely!
  9. At first glance I thought that was a Magnum Ferrari and I nearly died at the condition Great work, love them all!
  10. Love it! Purple looks amazing.
  11. 7. Snowy Impreza, proudly featured in the Internation House of Plastic Vol.2 Book: 8. Gorillaz "Stylo" Camaro: And lastly, my three W.I.P.s that weren't quite finished, and the Charger I just started. 190E that I started, am making into a much more detailed build than the laughable standard kit. Too much scratchbuilding and not enough talent has this boxed for a while. The charger, which I've just started (build thread in the WIP section): And lastly, my biggest and most expensive WIP: Thanks for lookin' and thanks for the kind comments already, merry christmas and a happy new year's building!
  12. 4. '68 Charger R/T 426 (My first attempt at wiring an engine): 5. Lancer Evo VI: 6. Nissan 240SX: (More in next post)
  13. Well, 2013 was an odd year for me modelling wise - it started off extremely productive then steadily declined. Blame buying my first car and working on it instead. So here's what I still have, a few were given away and some were scrapped. They aren't in order. 1. Nismo 350Z: 2. Shelby GT500 "Ich Bin Ein Berliner" - so called because I bought it while on a school trip in Berlin, and it's an American car. Makes sense. 3. Calsonic R34 (For the Gran Turismo Community Build): (More in next post)
  14. Cheers lads! Bit more work on the engine. I used a mixture of Tamiya weathering stuff and a brown wash to give it a bit more depth. Cheers!
  15. Cheers everyone! tubbs - Vol.4 is by far one of my favourite albums of all time! But I'm really getting into the Police, as a drummer I am in LOVE with the drumming by The Police. Sooo good! But aye, the 440 is totally getting the milder music. o-man - there's a reason it's been a long time, the GTI has been stealing my time and my funds! It's coming along great though, I've spent all the money I need to pretty much (breaks my bloody heart..) so now it's just waiting for the better weather so I can assemble it like a big model.
  16. Welcome, have fun! It can feel daunting being a younger member surrounded by all these amazing builds but the people here are always happy to help... They aren't bad really
  17. Well, for Christmas, my friend got me the only model I received - A '68 Charger. I really, really like '68 Chargers - So I didn't mind building another! This one I'm going for a "restored a while ago but well used since" sorta look. It's gonna be a purpley colour (not the right colour, but one I bought a long time ago and have been meaning to use. It's gonna have a base of the purple, and the final will be the Lavender. So, I cranked on the tunes and got to work! So this was my inspiration for the build, my previous '68 Charger, which by far got the most positive responses of any of my models. First off was the wheels. I didn't paint these, I left them the molded white. I weathered them using a mix of tamiya black wash and tamiya weathering set D. I left off one hubcap to continue the used theme. Then came the engine. I opted for the 440 to be different from my 426, and to allow me to have the stock hood, which I wanted in the last one. Beginning: Middle (just a wash): I'm gonna weather it a lot more obviously but this is what I have done for now. Gonna try and make the most realistic engine I can because I've never really tried too hard on my engine weathering. Now, the underside. This is just the first coats, once the second coats are done you'll see it better. I'm having it Lavender with bits of purple, hence the purple underside. Interior: Interior is gonna be plane Jane white. nothing much to say here. Need to sand, putty and repaint the seams in the seats, though. I never did that in my last Charger, so I'm gonna do it in this one. I really want to open the lights, but I haven't the resources for the lenses. Thanks for looking, I'm gonna finish this one if it kills me!
  18. Looks amazing! Careful on this kit, there's a well known and common fitment issue with the rear hatch. Doesn't line up properly!
  19. I FINALLY got a half decent camera, these are my first shots.. Just experimenting for now. Cheers! Back to the workbench after a loooong hiatus, with some purple Mopar coming up... Blame the Golf for my absence and drought in funds.
  20. Has to be Tamiya for me - they were the first kit I ever made and I love the box art on them. And for quality, they are second to none. But, as with others, subject matter really comes into play.
  21. Nice take on the 86. I'd love to see someone do a racing one sometime...
  22. They are GORGEOUS! I love 'em. would love to build another 250GTO but I doubt I will.
  23. At one time, this was a Revell Dodge Charger... Awesome work, keep it up.
