  1. It's nearly done... You can see the fitment issue in this pic.
  2. For #2, I use the BMF scriber tool continuously over the panel lines, and when you look on the other side and can see it about to cut through the plastic, I then use a sharp blade to get a perfect precision cut. Works every time
  3. Big Gran Turismo fan myself, all 1-5 finished 100%. Question, has anyone tried using aftermarket decals for this car instead?
  4. It says not a contest... I only play for sport anyway
  5. It's in the community section! Well... If we're allowed more than one build.. I'm thinking 2003 Calsonic Skyline and a 90s rally build
  6. Also, are we allowed more than one build in this? I'll definitely have two or more done in a year, that's a loooong time for me.
  7. Count me in Needa think of a build for it, wanna do something that's a Gran Turismo favourite!
  8. Have to agree with your taste, I'd totally be sharing the same tastes, I love all the cars you've been building. I'd build them myself if I could be arsed! A REAL car (my first!) is taking priority now on the money saving front, so Im enjoying watching you build the kits I wanna build
  9. Jim, can I ask how you got around the fitment issue on the bonnet? Yours doesn't seem to have it, mine does... Cheers!
  10. The taillights were done with Tamiya clear acrylics painted onto the inward facing side, and after it had dried I brushed over that with Tamiya XF-16 Flat Aluminium. Then on the outward side, I did the black lines with a fine permanent marker. I plan on using the wheels. I'm working on shortening the mounts on the car, and shortening the inside of the wheels, making them stick out less. It seems to be working so far! I bought the kit at my local hobby store.
  11. Cheers! I've added a couple of Queens of the Stone Age ones too, I'll have more pics another time. For now, though... Body paint work is all finished. I mocked up the chassis and... the wheels are too big. I'm gonna have to sort it. I've a rough idea how.
  12. Now here's one I'm looking forward to, Castrol decals always seem to have a bad reputation so hopefully this goes well
  13. That looks amazingly brilliant!
  14. This is awesome. The car the Series 1 should've been!
  15. Quick update. Horribly failed at making a 1/24 CB... Oh well. Cheers!
  16. Another handy tip (which I use for most if not all details) is a sharpened toothpick, dipped into the very tip of the paint in the lid of Tamiya acrylic paints, you'll struggle to beat it for precision!
  17. Thanks for the pics! Personally, I still think them a bit too big. I'll probably stick to the wheels I have. And thanks for the tips, I'll probably change the badge back to black. It won't be 100% accurate, because I'm gonna be using some artistic licencing. Cheers!
  18. Cheers guys, very muchly appreciated!
  19. That would be dead handy, thank you!
  20. This must be the prototype with the black headlights, is it? Love the first gen Vipers with a passion, great job
  21. Yeah, I had been checking them out, but I was worried about size in scale. Golfs tend to have 15s in real life, I think 17s might be a touch too big... But thank you for the suggestion.
  22. Revell's Volkswagen T2 Microbus. Never. Again. And Revell's Mercedes truck. Again. Never. Again. I managed to make them look half decent but God it didn't half take some amount of work.. and patience that I didn't have at the time.
  23. Cheers! I was going to get the wheels... but that is just waaaaaaay out of my price league, as are the bumpers. Guess I'll just have to make do!
