  1. Excellent build, Steve - the metallic brown suits this classic KW perfectly !
  2. Great looking cabover !!!
  3. I have a built-up which I bought more than ten years ago from a German ebayer. It will be rebuilt some day but the chrome parts (molded in red) show much red and little chrome, especially the exhaust pipes. But it will be turned into a fleet workhorse anyway, so there is no need for much chrome!
  4. C'est formidable, Jean-Jaques !!! A truly excellent model with a well deserved prize for its execution. "Eyeball time" has the meaning of very thoroughly inspection, i.e. the watchers/onlookers laid their eyes on it for a rather long time to look at every detail. I think this was meant.
  5. Awesome paint scheme on the blue Freightliner !!! Could you please post some more pics?
  6. Exactly my thoughts - especially the Mack Cruiseliner (even if it might be a 'phantom') and the brown KW - which bumper did you use for this? It almost looks like it could be from a Freightliner Powerliner... Keep them coming - your models look great!
  7. Italeri will reissue this former ESCI kit in 2016 !!!
  8. Gary, if the Miura is the ESCI reissue - which I think that it is - then beware! It is clumsy and toylike, detail is sparse, proportions are wrong. This is why I sold mine many years ago. The best Miura on the market is from Hasegawa though it is a late SV version.
  9. I'm absolutely with you on that, Bill. Thankfully I have kept 3 original Italeri kits though I would have bought at least 2 more. The Esci (Ertl) version is awkward - I built 2 of them in the 80's, replaced the wheels with Italeri spokes and tires and tried to correct its biggest flaws - anyway, hand off of this (until you are a box art collector!).
  10. Fantastic looking early 70's combination - very well executed - a really nice pair!
  11. Jim, Italeri has/had several trucks with racing trailer in different liveries - some of them included a metal/plastic model of a racing bike: here is Valentino Rossi's 500 cc world championship contender from 2000/2001 (Honda NSR)
  12. Excellent truck/trailer combo, JT - now we all know why orange has become your trademark... :-)
  13. Amazing, job, Jürgen! It's hard to tell the model from the real one! Fascinating how you replicated all the hydraulics on this workhorse - outstanding!!!
  14. Very good looking KW, Sean apart from the bumper it could be a late 60's/early 70's magazine truck from Owner Operator or the like.
  15. 50 years old but much better looking than today's racers....the unfortunate'65 X1 as well as the '66 Sebring winner - how did you make the windshield of this one? Great models in any case!!!
  16. Bring back these sold out resin kits - sports cars 1963 Ferrari 250 GT/L "Lusso" (Scalecraft or new?) 1969 Lola T70 Mk III B Daytona winner Donohue/Hobbs (Mini Exotics? Fein Design?) 1949 Ferrari 166 MM Le Mans winner Chinetti/Selsdon (sold under UMi, but cast by Paul Fisher) maybe issue some new cars 1968 Renault 16 TS 1965 Lotus Cortina Mk I 1968 Lamborghini Espada or finally some (Italian) dream cars 1965 Dino 206 GT berlinetta speciale 1968 Bertone Carabo Alfa Romeo 1969 Alfa Romeo 33/2 coupé speciale 1969 Ferrari 512 prototipo pininfarina 1970 Lancia Stratos HF Zero At least, dreaming is free !
  17. do you know when this will be available ? I just read that the Revell 250 SWB will again NOT be re-issued (fortunately I have 3 original Italeri SWB's left)
  18. exactly my words!!! I thought the stell plates were made of thin sheets of rusted steel - but cardboard??? Awesome weathering on load and trailer !!!
  19. When I re-started building in 1982, I bought the first truck kit: amt/Matchbox Peterbilt 359 wrecker - I brush-painted it in blue and yellow and still have it today.
  20. Adam, this old rustbucket looks that realistic, if you had not shown pics with a key, a brochure or your hand on the roof, I would have thought this model is real!!! Those rusty spots are totally convincing - the whole van is absolutely amazing !!!
  21. Very nice model of one of the best looking rally cars ever, Adriano! Forza Italia!!!
  22. C'était formidable !!! Very nice model, I wish I had this in my collection!
  23. Exactly what Jim said - I especially like the grill : at first sight I thought that you have used a photo-etched piece!
  24. Terry, you may call them junkers, but they would be the highlight of several collections - I especially like the Brockway Huskie with the set-back front axle. JT, have you left a bit of orange paint for us others? This color is definitely your trade mark, but what is that? Two non-orange rigs? Have you already run out of your favorite paint?
  25. Very nice Coe's, Mike - especially the KW must have been a lot of work - a scratchbuilt front combined with the aerodyne cab sure requires a lot of adoptions: shortened frame, relocated exhaust pipes, scratchbuilt sun visor and handlebars etc etc. - amazing!!!
