Excellent truck/trailer combo, JT - now we all know why orange has become your trademark... :-) -
Ford LN8000 Refuse Truck
1959scudetto replied to dragstueck's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Amazing, job, Jürgen! It's hard to tell the model from the real one! Fascinating how you replicated all the hydraulics on this workhorse - outstanding!!! -
KW W-900 {snap}
1959scudetto replied to Old Buckaroo's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Very good looking KW, Sean apart from the bumper it could be a late 60's/early 70's magazine truck from Owner Operator or the like. -
50 years old but much better looking than today's racers....the unfortunate'65 X1 as well as the '66 Sebring winner - how did you make the windshield of this one? Great models in any case!!!

Steel Haul - NEW Tractor unit UPDATE!!!!
1959scudetto replied to tiking's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
exactly my words!!! I thought the stell plates were made of thin sheets of rusted steel - but cardboard??? Awesome weathering on load and trailer !!! -
What was your first truck model?
1959scudetto replied to Mike77's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
When I re-started building in 1982, I bought the first truck kit: amt/Matchbox Peterbilt 359 wrecker - I brush-painted it in blue and yellow and still have it today. -
Adam, this old rustbucket looks that realistic, if you had not shown pics with a key, a brochure or your hand on the roof, I would have thought this model is real!!! Those rusty spots are totally convincing - the whole van is absolutely amazing !!!

Very nice model of one of the best looking rally cars ever, Adriano! Forza Italia!!!

C'était formidable !!! Very nice model, I wish I had this in my collection!

White 7400

Exactly what Jim said - I especially like the grill : at first sight I thought that you have used a photo-etched piece! -
All of our 2015 builds.
1959scudetto replied to Petetrucker07's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Terry, you may call them junkers, but they would be the highlight of several collections - I especially like the Brockway Huskie with the set-back front axle. JT, have you left a bit of orange paint for us others? This color is definitely your trade mark, but what is that? Two non-orange rigs? Have you already run out of your favorite paint? -
post just your cabovers here
1959scudetto replied to Ken Gilkeson's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Very nice Coe's, Mike - especially the KW must have been a lot of work - a scratchbuilt front combined with the aerodyne cab sure requires a lot of adoptions: shortened frame, relocated exhaust pipes, scratchbuilt sun visor and handlebars etc etc. - amazing!!! -

Nice conversion, gino, with the flatbed/stake behind the cab on that western long wheel base! You even lowered the headlights to the correct height - great!!! -
Original Oldschool 352
1959scudetto replied to OlSchoolRedo's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Great, rig, James! It cries "70's" overall - it just looks period perfect! I love those 60's and 70's US trucks that showed up in several trucker movies almost 40 years ago. I have the same one waiting for a restauration. The foil on the underside of the cab used for some heat insulation is a nice idea! -

A few I'd like to share

Awesome Autocar Michigan train, Chuck, and the Diamond reo Raider, too - is it the old Frank Gortsema kit? -
351 Peterbilt conversion
1959scudetto replied to Old Buckaroo's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Sean, sorry for my silly question - I obviously didn't read the headline which says "351 Peterbilt" -
Retro Review ESCI Renault R-5 Rally Car
1959scudetto replied to oldcarfan's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Nice find, Gary! The Calberson R 5 from the Monte Carlo Rally (2 nd and 3rd place then!) has been reissued by Italeri in 2006 - here is where the ESCI molds ended up! I have found a kit presentation on a German modeling homepage - here is the link: http://www.modellversium.de/kit/artikel.php?id=1689 Hobby link japan lists this kit, although backorderes/out of stock at the moment. -
351 Peterbilt conversion
1959scudetto replied to Old Buckaroo's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Very nice Pete, Sean - is this a 351? The narrow nose looks almost exactly like the bad Pete from the movie "duel" which impressed me much more than 40 years ago. Great addition is the wheels that you used - I'm getting bored by the Alcoa wheels which seem to be included in almost any US truck kit! -
Ford WT9000 "The Blue Mule"
1959scudetto replied to Stuntman Mike's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
When going over the ramp and crushing the big glass sign, Carroll Jo doesn't need any wipers... (but a bullet-proof cab would be helpful!) Very nice model, perfect execution - great Coe truck!!! -
The elusive GMC B-7000
1959scudetto replied to landman's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Super model! I had this as a Matchbox truck 50 years ago. Did you scratch guild the hood with an amt cab? Or is it a reworked toy? A resin kit? I really would like to build a workhorse like this - fabulous!!! -
Ideas for mpc's Mack DM600
1959scudetto replied to 1959scudetto's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Looks great, Mike! I looked at the above pics thinking this was the truck you wanted to replicate, till I finally realised that this is the model that you have built !!! -

The same here, too - excellent and very real looking Coe, Sean !
