  1. Great collection, Jacobus - Could be seen at a truckstop around 1980... I especially like the '70s Ford WT9000 Coe (like "Blue Mule from White Line Fever") and the '60s Diamond T Coe - what conversions are these?
  2. Great, Russell - especially when I think what you used as a starting point. I don't like the look of the ChevyTitan/GMC Astro anyway, and the KFS resin is way out of reach, but your CL 9000... gives me some ideas...
  3. Very nice model, Harry! I really do hope that mine will be as nice when it is going to be built someday (among 370 others ...) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Posted Yesterday by Tom Geiger, 06:11 PM Very cool classic Jag! Love the lines on it. That's a kit I don't have, so I'll have to keep an eye out for one. How is the kit overall? Is it ROG or something they reboxed? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tom, as far as i know, the same kit was available by Aoshima (photo from www.TheModeller.com) Maybe RoG reboxed it as they did with Aoshima's MGB.
  4. Luke, this is one fantastic model! Though I prefer the classic look over lowriders or donks, this Pontiac is soooo nice!!!
  5. The service station and above all, the inside of the garage : UNBELIEVABLE !!!
  6. Fantastic model, Bill - this has to be the most outstanding dragster model I have ever seen, perfection in every detail!
  7. How about some cool Mopars? As I'm from 1959, here are some '59ers (repainted EX-EL promos) : DeSoto, Plymouth and Dodge
  8. Kind of gives me hope that a BMW 2002 might be in the offing some day... Jason McMinn --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That is what I'm hoping, too, Jason, bu until then there is a solution in 1/24, though only as a die-cast (which might be a possibility when there are no resin or plastic alternatives available - at least at affordable prices). I have the Fabbri/Quattroruote release from ca. 2008/2009 : BMW 1600 ti from 1968 in dark blue with cream interior, which is actually available from white Box in a period typical orange with black interior. Both doors and hoods open, but the gaps on the hoods are hardly visible at all.
  9. I would never have thought that somebody will ever release a kit of this car in 1/24, so I bought myself a Fabbri/Quattroruote diecast 1st Series Renault 4L in 1/24 scale (see pics below). The Heller version shown above is a 3rd Series car.
  10. Well, here is my Teapot Graphics/John F. Johnson's Ferrari SP 196/248 with markings for 1962 Targa _Florio and Nürburgring. Kit is simple, but proportions look mostly correct, has some white metal parts, vacformed glass and Herb Deeks etched wire wheels. I have this in my stash since March 1993. This is going to be built some day as the Targa Florio winner from 1962.
  11. Jürgen - absolutely fantastic! This has to be the ultimate scratch-built truck model - it cannot be better thas this! As written before, I could never spend about 1000 hours on a single model, but it was defenitely worth it and it shows. Also the colors are spot-on and period-correct; but what else is to be expected from you? Moreover: TOP photography!
  12. good looking clean, straight workhorse for the woods - I like it very much!
  13. Excellent model of one of the most beautiful race cars ever !
  14. Excellent model, Jürgen - I have already admired your fantastic, clean truck models as well as your Revival race cars. These are way beyond my abilities ( I also would not have the patience to spend several hundreds of hours with one model) But even with this simple curbside kit you show us all excellent craftsmanship - from the paint to the photos. BIG THUMBS UP !!!
  15. well, here are some of my old builds from the mid-to-late 80's: some European sports and race cars and several US classics - some cool pics, some cool cars.
  16. And the last one for today: UMi modellwerke full curbside resin kit from 1992: Porsche 908/2 LH (3rd place in Le Mans 1970) (also a candidate for sale on ebay) - requires very much work to get it right !
  17. A simple, but nice old resin kit I have in my stash is the Ferrari 246 SP from 1962 (Targa Florio winner) from TEAPOT GRAPHICS from the early '90s. Full curbside kit with markings for Nürburgring and Targa Florio with Herb Deeks wire wheels. Unfortunately no pics at hand. Here is another rarity (I will put this on ebay Germany tonight or tomorrow): Mini Exotics Ferrari 250 SWB Breadvan (Transkit for Testors/Italeri 250 GTO). Another old resin transkit; UMi modellwerke Ferrari 330 LMB/250 GTO transkit for any Ferrari 250 GTO (will also go to ebay as I have 2 of them)
  18. Hi, Tom! Do you mean this one?
  19. Absolutely superb built of that complicated 1/20 Heller kit (unfortunately very rare and therefore expensive nowadays) I wish I had this in my stash (my uncle had a white one in 1968 and a dark red one 3 or 4 years later) It is a car with character - as is typical for many cars of the era and you have done it justice !!!
  20. The worst thing was that RoG had in their catalog back then (as a preview) a great picture of a REAL Marmon Conventional - that was such a teaser - we couldn't hardly await the arrival of the kit. BAD surprise: the final release showed a built-up model on the cover - a "Marmobilt " (Pete 359 with Marmon grill and logos). As I had no internet back in 1986 - I ordered the kit UNSEEN from a dealer in Germany to find out on opening the parcel that it was not at all the nice Marmon from the catalog - so I had one Pet 359 more in my stash. The only Marmon lookalike at that time came from Frank Gortsema (I think it is now available through AITM) This is what the Revell "Marmobilt" looked like:
  21. ... and this is what the model looks like (it is molded in green):
  22. Here is the the original decal sheet:
  23. Here is the link to Italeri's website: http://www.italeri.com/scheda.asp?idProdotto=2295 They show also the decals and the parts trees (he truck is molded in dark green)
  24. Should be out around Nov. 4 (?) - Pic from the Revell website : http://www.revell.de/?id=1037&L=1 "... with various decals for TWO variants...." - sounds interesting: Jägermeister and something else? We will see shortly. It is not a Hasegawa reissue, but based on their own Samba bus kit.
  25. I saw this on ebay Germany - kit should already be out now. It is a ca. 1938 OPEL Admiral (German built GM automobile): At least the boxart looks quite nice - though not my subject of interest. Maybe licensing prevents ICM from using the OPEL name (GM)?
