  1. Real. Look at the panel lines, trim and all the stuff underneath that's visible.
  2. That is something! What did you use for the engine?
  3. I like.
  4. I see the Olds with the fastback roof from the '51 Chevy with rear fenders from a contemporary Cadillac. Nix the emblems and door handles, keep the stock trim and lower it just a tick. Add wheels and tires to taste.
  5. William Stout was an aeronautics engineer who was the man behind the Ford Tri-motor airplane. The Scarab was his vision of the ultimate use of space in an automobile. I don't know much about the mechanicals, but I do know it had a rear mounted Ford V8. Only six examples were produced.
  6. What I do is complements- if the car is yellow, I mix up yellow, purple and a bit of black acrylics, add water and flow it into the panel lines. If the car is silver, I play off the interior color(same with white and several earth tones). Using complements avoids the heavy, jarring look of straight black.
  7. Looking good, Chuck. Ditto on the fit of the bumpers- I just finished the ragtop, and had the same issues.
  8. Nope. They're totally different cars- all midsize Fords went to a full frame in '72.
  9. Since we're talking wagon variations, how about a '58 Edsel Bermuda. Just sayin'...
  10. It says 0 users reading this topic- apparently, Bill, we don't exist or we're trapped in some weird space- time continuum. I knew I shouldn't have fired up my flux capacitor....
  11. That's actually the old Palmer kit. Lindberg has a real diverse collection of tools they've acquired over the years- stuff from Palmer (no relation), Pyro, AMT and the old IMC, to name a few.
  12. Great overhaul. Really really nice. What color is that on the motor? I know its proper for Fords of those years, but I can't seem to find a match for all the pics I've found.
  13. That could pass as real. Old Henry would be proud.
  14. Nice Poncho- what color is that???
  15. I love Monaco- the Mediterranean coast is just breathtaking. They get those long shots overlooking the sea and its so vividly blue its unreal. Plus, Monte Carlo has to be one of the most beautiful cities on the planet.
  16. A lot of nice stuff there- what's the going rate for a kidney these days?
  17. I have enough trouble moderating the voices in my head- I dare not to think what it would be like moderating this zoo...
  18. Ikind of dozed through the middle part of the race, but that was only because I was up early to watch F1. Great finish, and congrats to Dario. Lotus really missed the bus, though, didn't they maybe they could try a small block Ford like they did fifty years ago...
  19. How about a nice thumping mechanical resonance stereo?
  20. That is simply gorgeous.
  21. This is incredible. I would probably never have the nerve to tackle a diecast. Absolutely stunning.
  22. Maybe I'm just warped, but that would make a cool little hearse.
  23. Love the color combo. This car is gonna be sweet.
  24. Just try to drag me away from the TV tomorrow.....
  25. The Chinese are great at counterfeiting. James and Jeremy from Top Gear were in Beijing on a recent episode, and were amazed at all the bogus merchandise. From knockoffs of the BMW X5 to fake Starbucks. As Jeremy opined, "It would seem then, that the phrase 'copyright infringement' doesn't translate too terribly well into Mandarin".
