  1. I'm still here! Using OPC's (Other Peoples Computers) really is killing me. The Predictor (second attempt) is toast- well, actually, it got turned into a surrealistic blob. I'll have some pics of the '61 up soon. Those pickups in my sig? They all survived. Yay!
  2. I started a project I've been wanting to do for a while, inspired by Jairus' '61 Starliner conversion. I was able to salvage about twenty unbuilts from my stash after the fire, and the '61 was one of them. I put all the necessary parts in one box ('61 and '60 bodies, and the chassis and floorpan from the '60). However, my MCM stash was turned to dust, so I no longer have the article on how Mr. Watson did the deed. I started last night, but I'm lost on the drop on the '60 rear window, and I'd like to know how to resolve this. After I cut both roofs away (cowl and all), I stuck the '61 roof on the '60, and I also might end up with a '60 Galaxie 500.
  3. The old AMT/MPC '28 Lincoln has a sawed off shotgun and a vintage Tommy gun.
  4. I feel for you, Bill. Fortunately, you're OK, as are your two howling cats.
  5. When my sister has to travel for the AKC to judge a show, she no longer flies- its either the train or the bus.

  7. I think there's some change in my sofa...
  8. Beautiful job, Brian. (its a '67 )
  9. While scrolling through a subject, 'a man's bets friend' in Harry's sig is an external link. So is the word 'paycheck' in another post on the same topic, and in the 'General' page, the word 'started' is a link. They all go to ads for dumb stuff. What gives?
  10. I hope its the Custom- Custom 300 variant (they already have the 166" wheelbase chassis from the Ranchero). I see a lot of vintage stock cars, and maybe they'll give us the stock Paxton blower setup. AMT's '57 has the blower, but its configured for the T- Bird.
  11. I is a rilley gud speellir. I wuz top uv my klass wen I gridumitated the thurd gred.

Thanks, guys! This is one that survived the fire. Apparently, not being able to get my display case upstairs actually played to my advantage.
  13. Not Predicta, but Predictor (Packard's last show car, and a look at what they wanted to do for '57). Thanks for the offers, guys.
  14. The Predictor was really coming along, too. I'd stretched an Edsel ahead of the cowl and started larding on lots of Evergreen sheet and working with a great big file. It was actually looking like something. Arrrrrrrrrgggh!!!!!!! I was able to locate my external drive where all my photo files were at. I plugged it in to my neighbor's computer. It comes on but won't read, so it'll go somewhere for recovery. My Lincoln with the stretched T- Bird chassis- gone. My '66 Mercury with the stretched '65 Ford chassis- vaporized. The '69 Galaxie with the '70 Galaxie chassis with a '65 Galaxie front suspension- gone. Harley- Davidson F- 150 clone and trailer- history. Unbuilt Johan George Folmer Javelin- done in.
  15. "Cept its not a Galaxie. Its an early '59 run of the Fairlane 500. The Galaxie usurped the Skyliner when it was introduced, and there was a Galaxie badge on the stern.
  16. So I get home Tuesday evening from spending a few days in North Branch visiting the folks, and my place is burned up. Lost my computer, a 26" flat screen that was my monitor, both my amps, tube screamer, wah wah pedal and about fifty unbuilts, plus 20 builts and my second stab at a Predictor. All my files are gone (I'd just finished an article that I was going to submit last week). My cabinet and the builts inside it survived, as did my workbench and tools (thankfully). Bluntly speaking, I'm screwed. I'm just glad Reno was with me, as was my guitar.

  18. Would that include a supermodel dressed up as General Lee?
  19. In my basement, and I want an unlimited credit line.
  20. I'll be looking forward to seeing this one done. I used to have a '64 F-85 2- door post sedan. That and my Dad's '65 Vista- Cruiser had that wacky glove box that would pop open if you were going more than 50 on a country road.
  21. Thanks, Jon. The original was at 86kb, so I guess that does matter. Now back to my regularly scheduled Ferarri.
  22. Hmmm? Am I limited to a certain number of kb?
