  1. Coming along nicely Keith, what decals will you be installing?
  2. Very nice Mattias.
  3. The Shelby GT350 kit bash works nicely on the Trumpeter '64 Falcon as well.
  4. Great stuff. The 60s were a great era in all forms of racing.
  5. The chassis is just slightly too long. If you wanted to go with a pushed forward front wheel position and modify the front wheel opening accordingly you might not need to section the chassis.
  6. Great build Clay. I enjoy the old school NASCAR subjects.
  7. Great project and you're doing it for a great cause.
  8. Off to a great start Kurt.
  9. I'll be following for sure my friend. I'm guessing it won't be stock.
  10. Any version of the Revell/Monogram '66 Shelby Mustang GT350 or GT350R as they share nearly all the same parts.
  11. I sectioned approx. 3mm or 3" scale inches out of the floor pan ahead of the rear axle. I shaved the lip off the rear wheel wells and radiused them to fit the slicks, they will need a little more clearance. My camera angle isn't quite level the actual stance is just slightly nose down.
  12. https://www.conceptcarz.com/z25185/mercury-comet-cyclone-bfx.aspx "The first batch of lightweight racing cars by Mercury was offered in 1964. They were race prepared from the get-go. Mercury produced around 11 A/FX cars in 1964, which went to famous race car drivers like Arnie Beswick, Eddie Shartman, and Dyno Don Nicholson among others. The B/FX Comets of 1965 were built off a 289 engine with 271 horsepower, and used four Webbers. Building up the 289, horsepower on these cars could approach 450. Since these cars weighed in at around 2,600 pounds, the performance was outstanding."
  13. A forum member helped me out with this bumper/grille. I believe it to be for a '69 but I like the split bumper so I'll be using it. As received: After some work and a coat of primer:
  14. According to what I have read the 289 powered B/FX Comets and C/FX Galaxies were running the Shelby intake with down draft Webers.
  15. Very nice Steve, what is your impression of the Salvino kits?
  16. Please keep sharing his work.
  17. Missing Link offers a '71 Grabber. http://www.missinglinkrc.com/71_Grabber_Maverick.htm
  18. The gen 2 ('64-'65) Falcons are my clear favorite, but I like them all. I got a bit more work done, I'll try to post an update latter today.
  19. I like it John! What a great asset to be able to build something digitally before taking it on in the physical world.
