Dyno-Don's Comet. No logo.

Race preped 260 in CSX2002. Note the generator in lieu of an alternator.

No "Ford SOHC" logo in this period photo either and an interesting intake system. Is that (4) Webers mounted perpendicular?

Another interesting photo. Here’s a glamour shot of the complete Cammer from the Society of Automotive Engineers paper (SAE 650497) presented by Norm Faustyn and Joe Eastman, Ford’s two lead engineers on the project. All the published technical sources on the Cammer, including an in-depth feature in the January 1965 issue of Hot Rod Magazine, appear to be closely based on the SAE paper.

The AMT kit is wrong to build the Wild Child as it provides the altered wheel base body. I'm using it in lieu of one of the other AMT issues becuase I had it in the stash. I have a stock AMT '65 Falcon body that has the wheel wells cut, I may use it to build the Wild Child down the road. The plan is to build something in the Daddy Warbucks direction but with a more detailed and accurate chassis and engine than what you get in the kit. I like the Wild Child in white Mike, thanks for sharing the picture.

I use Tamiya white primer for the foot box or if the plastic is molded in white I sand the foot box with coarse sand paper to create some texture and then leave them raw.

Great builds Bruce.

Thanks Kurt. I used a ball bit turned in a pine vise to enlarge the notches. I held the bit at angle starting with smaller size and working my way up to the size I wanted.

I've decided to work with the Moebuis and will be stuffing it into a '65 Falcon A/FX. I'll be following to see what you come up with Bill.

Kit bashing the AMT Wild Child Falcon with the new Moebuis Comet A/FX. Removed 16" scale inches for the chassis Still some work to do particularly at the rear but a good start.

Top notch fabrication. -
Interesting period photo from the Holmon Moody book, note the absence of the "Ford SOHC" logo on the valve cover.

Did some work on the Moebius valve covers: enlarged the spark plug notches created the bolt notch in the end A As they come in the kit absent the chrome. ece the chrome.

Casey, #2 looks like the far right wheel in your top photo and the backside looks like what you posted above. #4 looks like the far left wheel in your top photo. It has 4-lugs along with 4 exposed bolts holding on the grease cap.

A Thought about the Magazine, etc.

I haven't subscribed to a modeler's magazine for several years. I'm very active on this forum and a few others. I much prefer the forum and am thankful to have it. -

Spike would love to see some photos of your hot boats. You could post photos under the 1:1 Reference Pictures section http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/forum/14-11-car-reference-pictures/

Thanks Andy, yes Revell did a nice parts pack 427 as Bill showed in his early posts. However It's a Wedge in lieu of the SOHC.

These are claimed to be NOS (new old stock). Not the same valve cover as above but a good straight on photo
