  1. Excellent work on the hood Pat.
  2. My humble opinion for color:
  3. Very nice Ludwig. I'm building a Trans-Am racing version of the coupe. I made some modifications to the Trumpeter body that improved the overall look in my opinion. I could send you the link if you are interested. JC
  4. Removing the defroster lines would require lots of tedious sanding and polishing, think I'll leave them.
  5. No doubt you know this Kurt but a Panhard bar and Watts Link helps locate the axle laterally. It's not inconceivable that a straight line car would run without such devices.
  6. Thanks Dann & Alex. The heating grid in the rear glass is unfortunate Thomas.
  7. Too funny!!
  8. Funny how parts fit great before you paint and not at all after.
  9. Ferrari spyder - yep I'm in.
  10. Kit glass had a hole for the rear wiper, enlarged it to represent a cabin exhaust port Replaced stock exhaust with straight racing exhaust Fabricated a tow hook Filled the license plate mounting holes
  11. Ray here is the Howmet engine photo I promised.
  12. Your welcome Roger. Think it has (nearly) all the racing categories covered.
  13. My scribing tools: back edge of a #11 blade razor saw photoetch saws and scribes mechanical pencil with straight pin (head cutoff) replacing the lead
  14. Ray, I have any assembled engine from the MPC kit Bill posted. I can check fitment for you. I think I have a spare Cobra kit around.
  15. '69 Camaro - very nice.
  16. Thanks Thomas. How is your 964 project coming along?
  17. This forum is all about racing if you care to check it out. Motorsports Modeling
  18. Doing some work at the back end of the car Dann, I'll post pictures soon. Thanks for your interest. One of the things I like most about this hobby is getting a chance to study my current build subject. I had always dismissed the 964 as one Porsche missed the mark on. However after spending time researching these cars and taking time to admire the lines I have a new found appreciation for them. It may not be my first choice of Porsche but I would be proud to own one and would very much enjoy driving it. Bravo Porsche.
  19. Clever locating technique on the springs.
  20. Thanks Dann Added front air ducts included in some of the racing versions of the kit and opened the holes Added a tow hook Cut in the racing window in the side glass
  21. Great picture Michi with the parts laid out like that.
  22. Differential controls made from straight pins.
  23. Fabricated a simple ECU from rectangular rod. I'll wire it after interior is painted.
